But as soon as she saw who stood outside, her body trembled.
"Mom? Who is it?" Shirley asked, stepping forward curiously.
The moment her eyes landed on the visitors, she froze in disbelief.
"You—! You're that guy from earlier. The one at the accident! Why are you here? Don't tell me... you followed me?" she asked, her brows furrowing in suspicion as she stared at Igaris.
But her mother didn't listen to her. On the contrary, her eyes welled with tears, and her voice quivered.
"Uncle Jeffrey… it's really you..." she whispered, almost breathless. "It's been ten years... You finally remembered us?"
