As I sat in my designated seat at the near the window, ( y'know the protagonist seat) I hear a whisper beside me.

"Hey, man. You're pretty talented, I bet you'll be popular in no time." The voice said casually.

I glanced to my side and saw a grinning student looking at me with easy confidence. "Thanks, umm..." I reply, trailing off, waiting for his name.

"Ah, sorry! My bad man, forgot to introduce myself" he chuckled, leaning back a little. "I'm Gabriel Reyes, but you can call me Gab or Reyes, but you can call me whatever feels right to you. No biggie.

"Sure... Gab," I said with a small nod, taking in his relaxed energy.

"Hey, if you want, I can show you around the campus here at Liamson," Gab continued. "Oh, and that guy sitting in front of you? The one who keeps staring at you? He grinned as he tilted his head toward him. "Thats my best friend. He's just shy at first, but don't worry once he warms up to you, you won't get a moment of peace from his endless chatter. Hahahahaha.

Before I could respond, the student in front turned slightly, shifting in his seat.

"Hello... Miguel, I am—"

Gab cut him off with a loud laugh. "His name's Justin Alvares, but we call him Justin or just Tin."

Justin shot him a slight glare before finally turning to me properly. "Yeah... that. Nice to meet you."

I smiled, feeling the tension around me ease. Maybe this place wasn't going to be so bad after all.

Before I could respond to Justin, I heard an unmistakable sigh from the front of the room.

"Boys at the back!" the teacher's voice rang out, sharp but controlled. "If you're done with introductions, maybe you'd like to focus on today's lesson instead of making new best friends?"

Gab chuckled under his breath, leaning slightly toward me. "Uh-oh. We're already on her radar. Congrats, Miguel, you're officially one of us."

Justin, now fully engaged in the conversation, smirked. "And by 'one of us,' he means 'on the teacher's watchlist.'"

I straightened in my seat, trying—and probably failing—to look attentive. "Sorry, Ma'am," I said quickly, as both Gab and Justin offered equally unconvincing apologies beside me.

The teacher gave us one last knowing look before sighing and returning to the lesson. "Alright, moving on…"

I let out a quiet breath, shaking my head slightly. (Well, that didn't take long. First day, first warning. Fantastic.)

[Lunch Time]

The cafeteria was buzzing with the usual midday chaos, trays clattering, conversations overlapping, and the scent of meals lingering in the air. I had just barely set down my tray when Gab and Justin suddenly appear and dragged me toward an open spot at a table.

"Alright, newbie, time to meet some people," Gab announced dramatically, sliding his arm to my shoulder and then Point across the table then shouted " Okay Go"

Across the table is a girl with a shoulder-length hair and a face with a confident grin, Like studying me like i was the next source of entertainment. "So, first day of school and already got scolded, Huh?, huhuhuhu" she teased, tapping a spoon against her tray.

I know this person she is Sofia Robio the Best friend of Louise Ordunia the genius girl and her only friend.

I sigh, already knowing where this was going as i know her personality from the game.

"I'd rather not be remembered for that, but sure. That's Me."

"Sofia Robio," she introduced herself, flicking her hair back and adjust her glasses. " Social butterfly, expert at teasing and Louise's best friend."

"Oh great, So i'm doomed." i muttered, which earned a chuckle from her.

"You catch on quick," she grinned. "But don't worry, I only tease when I like someone's vibe. Consider it an honor."

Before I could formulate a response, another voice—quieter but determined—entered the conversation. "Um... hi, Miguel."

I turned to see Samantha, sitting neatly with her lunch, hands clasped together like she was prepping herself for battle.

"Samantha, right?" I recalled her name from a passing introduction earlier.

She nodded hurriedly. "Uh—yeah. I'm in the Piano Club."

Gab nudged me playfully. "She's basically a walking encyclopedia of piano theory. So if you ever want to know why a specific chord progression makes you feel existential, she's your person."

Samantha turned bright red. "Gab!" she hissed. "You're making it sound weird."

Justin chuckled. "You do ramble about piano a lot, though."

She sighed, composing herself before looking back at me. "Sorry. I just—sometimes I get excited talking about it, but I know not everyone cares."

I shrugged. "Hey, I play guitar and piano too. Only a beginner, but I'd listen. Music's cool."

Her eyes lit up instantly. "Really? What kind of pieces do you play?"

And just like that, lunch became a mix of teasing from Sofia and casual chatter about music from Samantha, with Gab and Justin keeping the energy high.

After lunch, the group drifted into the hallways near the stairs, the golden light from the windows stretching across the polished floors. The usual chatter of students filled the space, conversations overlapping as everyone moved toward their next class.

Miguel casually glanced ahead—and that's when he saw them.

Mark Borja, Catherine Joyce Portillo, and Ridel Gonzales—the trio whose stories he had experienced countless times in the game.

There they were, laughing, teasing each other like nothing was out of the ordinary. Mark leaned against the stair railing, rolling his eyes at whatever Cathy had just said, while Ridel gestured animatedly, adding dramatic flair to their conversation. The energy between them was familiar—exactly as it had been in Until Then.

Miguel felt a strange pull in his chest. (This is real. They're real.)

It was surreal. He had spent hours immersed in their world, experiencing their struggles, feeling the weight of their emotions, but this… this was different. They weren't pixels on a screen. They were here, in front of him, just existing.

Before he could fully process the moment, the sharp ring of the school bell echoed through the halls.

Students hurried back to their classrooms, the trio blending into the movement of the crowd. Miguel inhaled deeply, snapping back to reality as Gab nudged him.

"Come on, daydreamer," Gab said with a smirk. "Time to head back before we get another warning."

Miguel nodded absently, but as he followed his new friends, one thought lingered in his mind—this was only the beginning.

For the people who don't know about the lore of the game, and i will also explain that the time they went missing is not confirm in the game it just said "Years" nothing more.

Okay In the game the Ruling catastrophe is set into one year before the start of the game when it was explained but the missing person is Unknown of years when Mark's Mother disappear in the plane when passing through a storm. It was later known that his mother and Nicole's Best friend Jake also missing. the two of them is the one who caused the Ruling to make the two of them meet earlier than the original timeline. By the way i will adjust the age of the characters to 16 and 17 just a little or older than the original age they are 16 and 17 in the canon so at the start of the story line they are much older so it will not be weird? to have a romantic development.
