Chapter 38 - Morgan's NT

Silence.

An eerie stillness filled the air.

However, when the figure of the boy appeared, it was as though a thunderclap struck everyone's mind, leaving them completely stunned.

Aside from the two sisters, Morgan le Fay and Artoria, the people present were from the Round Table Knights.

Gawain had a look of disbelief in his eyes, and Bedivere seemed somewhat confused.

"Is that really him...?" Kay lowered his voice intentionally, but it was still hard to conceal his surprise.

He had clearly died under the King's Holy Sword in the past… so why was he now alive and well, appearing in the royal palace?

"Is that Alvin?!"

Gareth was also shocked.

She glanced at the boy in front, then looked at Morgan not far away, appearing a bit dazed and helpless.

In her impression, the Night Watchman should be someone full of a killing aura, with even a few scars on his face…

Mordred lightly nodded in confirmation, saying: "Indeed, it's him... The last time I was brought into the royal palace, it was because he and King Arthur had teamed up."

This statement seemed to confirm Alvin's identity, but the subtext was: "It's not that I was too weak to resist, it's just that facing both the Red Dragon and the White Dragon at the same time was something I couldn't handle."

But clearly, Gareth had no time to think about the hidden meaning in Mordred's words.

After a brief moment of shock, her face turned slightly pale, and her lips trembled.

"This is trouble..."

After all, in the past few years, Morgan le Fay had been working on a plan to revive the White Dragon.

Although she never made her relationship with Alvin clear, judging from her desperate attempts, Gareth had a rough idea.

Now that Alvin had appeared in the royal palace like this, what would Morgan do...?

The next moment, Gareth, along with Mordred, seemed to realize something, and an inexplicable sense of tension rose within them.

Both instinctively looked toward the stunningly beautiful woman.

The "True Ether" that had been spreading through the air silently vanished, and then, like a tidal wave, it surged into Alvin's body.

Even though the boy's black robes were somewhat bulky, concealing most of his face, just seeing his figure caused a touch of obsession to appear in Morgan's eyes.

But soon, she quickly composed herself, her emotions well hidden.

"...I didn't expect you to still be alive, Alvin."

Her tone was calm, as if she were just greeting an ordinary person.

"Some unexpected things happened... Anyway, it's nice to see you again."

Alvin raised his hand and waved, smiling warmly.

However, anyone who knew him would realize that Alvin was somewhat nervous inside.

Before, he had always avoided showing himself.

It was not just because he couldn't face the things he had done in the past.

He was just afraid that when Artoria and Morgan met, it might lead to unnecessary conflict, or even result in both sides being hurt.

As it turned out, Alvin's concern was correct.

If it weren't for him, Artoria might have had to unleash the 'seal' of the Holy Sword.

Thinking of this, Alvin couldn't help but glance at Artoria.

Fortunately, after his appearance, Artoria seemed to have calmed down, or perhaps she realized that, as King Arthur, she should maintain the 'rationality' she was expected to have.

If a battle broke out between Morgan and Artoria in the royal palace, the people of Britain would be the ones to suffer.

It might even provide an opportunity for the transmigrators to intervene.

So, the blonde Knight King's expression gradually settled, and she quietly watched Morgan le Fay, her older sister whom she hadn't seen in a long time.

The magical energy in the air rippled slightly.

Amidst a flurry of pink flower petals, Merlin, dressed in a white mage's robe, silently appeared at the royal palace's main gate.

He glanced around the palace, and when he saw Alvin, he immediately understood what was happening.

Merlin couldn't help but sigh in relief, a smile forming on his face.

"Looks like I was too hasty?"

He had indeed been worried.

After all, if the Age of Gods returned, Britain might suffer a heavy blow.

But judging by the current situation, Alvin's appearance seemed to have stabilized things.

Morgan's beautiful eyes gazed intently at the boy.

After a long while, she softly spoke,

"It's so nice to see you again, Alvin."

As she spoke, she began to walk toward Alvin.

However, Artoria stepped forward first, standing in front of the boy, staring coldly stared into the woman's eyes.

"I've told you, sister."

"…I won't let you get any closer to him."

The atmosphere, which had just calmed, suddenly became extremely tense.

Terrifying magical power lingered between the two.

"You two haven't seen each other in so long.

There's no need to start fighting as soon as you meet. Why don't we sit down and talk things through?"

Merlin, wearing a gentle smile, tried to ease the tension between them.

However, Morgan didn't even glance at Merlin, as if he were just a fly buzzing beside her.

"True."

But suddenly, a captivating smile appeared on her face.

Then, she took a step forward and extended her hand toward Artoria.

Seeing this, everyone in the room let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Alvin, who had been worried just moments ago, also finally relaxed.

It was a relief…

He had thought he would have to use more drastic measures to stabilize Morgan and Lily.

But now it seemed that the sister was still the sister, and Lily, as always, represented rationality.

Otherwise, the saying 'King Arthur doesn't understand human hearts' would never have existed.

Even if it was just a handshake for peace… as long as they could sit down and talk, everything could be worked out—

Just as Alvin thought this, his mind suddenly went blank.

Mordred and Gareth's gazes were blank.

The three members of the Round Table Knights had shocked expressions on their faces.

Countless knights in the room went from nervous to completely pale.

Because, under all those gazes, Morgan slowly approached Artoria.

However, just as everyone thought they were about to shake hands and make peace, Morgan passed by Artoria and went straight to the boy in front.

"Finally, I get to see you… Alvin."

Under the astonished gazes and wide-eyed stares, the witch tightly embraced the boy.

Her nostalgic and sweet voice echoed in the silent air.

Then, she slowly lowered her head, her alluring eyes gently locking onto the boy's.

In that moment, Alvin felt all the alarms in his body going off, and the slightly piercing gazes around him made his eyelids twitch.

"Morgan, wait—"

Before he could finish speaking.

The moment Alvin lifted his head, as countless eyes stared in stunned silence, Morgan lowered her head slightly and gently kissed the boy's lips.
