Chapter 103 - Head Librarian Teresa

Severin stared at the door of the Head Librarian, and the guy opened the door. "Come right here. She's waiting for you."

He pushed open the door, and they entered. It was as if they'd stepped into another section of the library. Books were arranged on shelves of stone set into the wall.

"This is her room," the librarian said.

Her room? This big, with this many books? Severin didn't say anything as he followed him deeper into the room until they reached the middle, where a small stone table and chairs stood.

A rocking chair sat at the head, swaying gently, and a woman sat in it, her body wrapped in warm yellow clothes and her face covered by the book she was reading.

Severin studied her. Judging by the hand holding the book, she wasn't that young.

"He's here, Head Librarian Teresa."

She put the book down on the table and used a small black stone to bookmark it. "Thank you. You can go now."

Her voice was old and soft, with a slight rasp.

The librarian bowed and left the room.
