Chapter 5: Knowledge Level 5

After a moment of contemplation, Renjiro picked up his phone and logged into the Yanhuang Alliance Forum. The Yanhuang Alliance Forum was the official communication platform of the Yanhuang Alliance, and it was a hub that almost every trainer in the region frequented.

Here, major events from across the world were posted in real-time, along with videos of tournaments, battles, and groundbreaking discoveries. Trainers often visited the forum to stay updated, exchange knowledge, and learn from the experiences of others. It wasn't just a popular site; it was the most authoritative and reliable source of information for trainers in the region.

Renjiro navigated swiftly through the familiar interface, his fingers tapping decisively as he opened the trading module. Without hesitation, he began composing a post:

"Selling the secret to evolving Feebas into Milotic. 100% success guaranteed. Sincere buyers, please private message me."

He leaned back and stared at the screen, confident in his strategy. In this world, if anything could fetch a fortune, it was knowledge—especially knowledge that no one else had. Knowledge could command more than any rare Pokémon or powerful item, because it opened doors that others could not unlock.

After all, wasn't that what gave the Poké Ball manufacturers of the United States their power? Their monopoly on technology brought them unimaginable wealth, forcing regions like Yanhuang to pay massive royalties each year. Renjiro smirked slightly. If he had a choice, he wouldn't sell this knowledge so easily. But right now, money was a necessity—an unavoidable step in his greater plan.

No sooner had his post gone live than the comments section exploded with replies.

[Are you serious? Even the Alliance research division hasn't figured out Feebas's evolution conditions!]

[This guy's clearly a scammer. What a joke.]

[Haha, another dreamer trying to make a quick buck. Ignore him.]

[Honestly though… if it were true, I'd sell my house for it. Milotic is worth it.]

[+1 to the scammer list. Blocked.]

Renjiro wasn't surprised by the flood of disbelief. For years, researchers and trainers alike had been puzzled by Milotic's evolution. Although it was known that Milotic evolved from Feebas—thanks to breeding studies—the actual conditions remained a mystery.

At first, the discovery that Milotic produced Feebas offspring had sent trainers into a frenzy. The price of Feebas skyrocketed overnight. Wild populations were nearly wiped out as trainers scoured rivers and lakes to catch one, dreaming of owning the beautiful and powerful Milotic.

But disappointment followed quickly. Despite their efforts, 99.9% of trainers failed to evolve their Feebas. The Pokémon Research Institute had analyzed countless evolved Milotic, hoping to reverse-engineer the process, but came up empty-handed. Only a lucky handful of trainers managed to evolve their Feebas by sheer accident, and they had no idea how they'd done it.

So, it was only natural for netizens to call Renjiro a fraud. But he didn't care about their insults or disbelief. He calmly opened his inbox. To his satisfaction, his private messages were flooded.

Renjiro began reviewing them one by one.

---

[Fantasy Wind]: Friend, can you really make Feebas evolve into Milotic 100%?

Renjiro responded directly:

[Yes, I can. What's your price?]

But the reply made him frown.

[Fantasy Wind]: I'm worried about being scammed. Why don't you tell me first, and once I confirm it works, I'll pay you.

Renjiro rolled his eyes, deleted the message, and blocked the sender. Did they think he was a fool?

---

The next message was no better.

[User: Using My Sansheng Fireworks]: Brother, can you help me evolve Feebas into Milotic? I'm a girl… 36D.

Renjiro chuckled coldly. What use did he have for that? He could buy 36E if he had money. Delete. Block. Next.

---

One by one, the messages followed the same pattern. Some tried to flatter him, others begged, and many attempted to trick him into revealing the secret before payment. None of them were serious buyers.

Renjiro sighed, feeling disappointment creeping in. Was it really so difficult to find someone willing to pay for valuable knowledge?

Just as he was about to give up and log off, a new message notification appeared. The ID read Renjian Siyue, and it contained only one sentence:

[Can we meet in person?]

Renjiro's eyes lit up. After dealing with so many fools, it seemed he had finally found someone who truly understood the worth of what he was offering. A face-to-face meeting request meant seriousness.

He quickly typed his reply:

[Okay. But tell me first, what's your budget? If it's too low, there's no need for us to meet.]

---

Meanwhile, in a luxurious villa in Shanghai, a stunning woman in white silk pajamas lounged on a plush bed. Liu Shuyun, her name known among the elite, was half-reclining against a mountain of pillows, an apple in one hand and her phone in the other. A sleek Dong Shi cat stretched lazily at her side, yawning as it settled into sleep.

When she saw Renjiro's reply, she raised an eyebrow. She had expected the poster to be desperate for any offer—but this little fox was playing hard to get.

Her gut told her this boy wasn't bluffing. Something in his directness, his confidence, felt real.

[What's your phone number? Let's talk. This kind of thing is better discussed by phone.]

Renjiro didn't hesitate. He sent his number.

A moment later, his phone rang.

---

"Hello, I'm April on Earth," said a soft, mature voice on the other end.

Renjiro smiled slightly. "Hello, I am the Light of the Future," he replied, referring to his forum ID.

"Young man, do you truly have a way to evolve Feebas into Milotic?"

Liu Shuyun's voice betrayed a hint of doubt. Renjiro's voice sounded far younger than she had expected.

"Yes, I do," he said calmly. "What's your offer?"

"Hmm… if it's true, how about 100 million?" she suggested, confident that the amount would stun him.

But Renjiro scoffed silently. To her surprise, his voice turned cold.

"I don't think there's any point in continuing this conversation," he said and was about to hang up.

"Wait!" Liu Shuyun panicked, realizing she'd underestimated him. She cursed herself for trying to lowball such valuable knowledge.

"One billion!" she said quickly. "I'll pay one billion if your method is genuine. That's my final offer."

Renjiro thought for a moment. A billion yuan—that was a respectable sum for what he was offering.

"Alright," he said. "Where do you want to meet?"

"Offline, face-to-face. Send me the address. I'll come to you."

They finalized the details of the meeting and hung up.

---

Renjiro set his phone down and exhaled slowly. One billion yuan, plus the Ultra Ball manufacturing process he had obtained from the lottery—if he handled it all wisely, his financial troubles would be over.

Meanwhile, in her villa, Liu Shuyun sprang into action. She called her assistant at once.

"Book me a flight to Shuangyang City," she instructed. "As soon as possible."

---

With his plan now set in motion, Renjiro sat quietly for a moment, his eyes reflecting both determination and anticipation. The wheels of his destiny had begun to turn. Now, all that remained was to see where they would carry him.
