Iris Harris's voice, through the door and the sound of rain, sounded very weak.
"How did you get back?"
Brandan Hyde asked from outside the door.
"I... took the bus back." Iris Harris said softly, "Brandan, I want to sleep..."
Before she finished speaking, the front door was kicked open by Brandan Hyde, and the man's impatient voice came from outside: "Open the door!"
Iris Harris leaned against the door panel, she was utterly exhausted, her body too weak to even speak.
She didn't dare to open the door, she didn't understand why Brandan would come over.
Was he here to make her do that sort of thing again?
She would die; she could no longer bear him...
Iris Harris said nothing, and Brandan Hyde angrily shouted from outside the door, "Iris Harris, I'll count to three, and you dare not open the door for me, just try it!"
He kicked the door while speaking.
