As the sun vanished beneath the city's steel skyline, a crimson moon emerged—its glow like a bleeding eye watching over the chaos below. Perched atop a skyscraper, Lihanna and Tyrone surveyed the silent streets as tension crackled in the air.
Tyrone: (sitting on the ledge, legs dangling) "Looks like the civilians cleared out before sundown. That's something."
Lihanna: (arms folded, her eyes sharp as ever) "Good. Gendai had the foresight to order a push to the outskirts. If we keep the fighting away from the city core, we minimize casualties."
Tyrone: "Yeah, smart move. Still risky though… vampires tonight aren't just hunting—they're feasting. We're stretched too thin to protect both the city and its people."
Suddenly, a thunderous bang cracked across the horizon. A flash of wind and steel illuminated the distance.
Lihanna: "That's Felicia and Kamaki!"
The pair focused in, their senses sharpening. On a nearby avenue, Kamaki was already deep in the fray—four vampires lunging toward him. Felicia, cloaked in swirling wind, activated her battle suit's elemental system.
Kamaki: (grinning) "Multiple elements? Tch—lucky you."
Felicia: (spinning her axe and shifting into stance) "Designed that way. Doesn't mean it's limitless. Stay sharp."
Kamaki: (vanishing and reappearing mid-air, decapitating all four vampires with brutal precision) "Nah, these guys are weak sauce."
Heads hit the pavement in perfect sync. He turned, fanged smile gleaming.
Kamaki: "Told you—easy."
Felicia: (cautiously) "They weren't this weak before… Kamaki, are you—?"
Her words froze as she saw him clearly—fangs sharper, eyes darker, aura unnatural.
Felicia: (wide-eyed) "You're a vampire…?"
Before he could answer, a crimson beam of concentrated energy tore through the night. Kamaki shoved Felicia aside and took the blast to the chest.
Felicia: "KAMAKI!"
She caught him as he collapsed, blood soaking his jacket. His pulse—faint. Her breath trembled. She looked up—and there she stood. An S-Rank vampire woman with flowing blood-red ribbons, licking her lips.
???: "Cute girl. I promise, if you let me feed, I'll make it feel real nice. Name's Enma. I'm not just here for a snack. I'm here to end this city."
Felicia: (hoisting her axe, rage in her eyes) "You're not taking anything. Come and try."
Enma vanished in a flashstep—appearing in Felicia's face. Felicia raised her axe just in time to block, but Enma's claw weapon struck with a burst of power. A knee followed to her gut, then a crushing kick hurled Felicia into the air and back to the ground, her body skidding across pavement.
Elsewhere, Lihanna and Tyrone sprinted toward the battle zone.
Tyrone: (grinning) "Let's cut a path!"
With a spin, he carved a double arc through a crowd of vampires with his scythe, bodies falling like paper dolls.
Lihanna: (smirking) "Show-off."
She front-flipped over him, kicking one vampire's skull into the pavement and cleaving three more with a clean horizontal slash of her nodachi.
Lihanna: (wiping blood from her mouth as they arrive) "Try to keep up, will you?"
Tyrone: "Pfft—I am!"
But Lihanna surged ahead, her speed blistering. Tyrone's jaw dropped as he sprinted harder to match her.
Meanwhile, Kamaki's body twitched. Felicia gasped as his eyes snapped open—pitch black. His skin now ghostly pale. His fangs fully extended.
Felicia: (stepping back) "Kamaki…?"
Elsewhere in the city, Evelyn guided a small group of lost civilians, her long black hair dancing in the wind. Her violet eyes scanned for danger.
Evelyn: (calm but firm) "Stick close. It's not safe right now."
A blur lunged for an elderly woman. Evelyn moved instantly, gripping the vampire by the neck and slamming it into the concrete. Without hesitation, she summoned an electric bullet from her pistol and fired it through its skull.
Evelyn: "Told you. Now move!"
On the far side of the city, Gendai twirled her spear as she stood atop a pile of ash and bodies. Around her, stunned Prismic Gathering recruits caught their breath.
Ajax: (awestruck) "You're tearing through them, Gendai!"
Gendai: (coldly focused) "I sense two strong presences nearby. Felicia, Tyrone, and Lihanna are in the heart of it."
Ajax: (half-joking) "Worried about them?"
Gendai: (smirking slightly) "Hardly. Lihanna's a storm. Tyrone's relentless. They'll manage."
More vampires crept from the shadows. Gendai's green energy began to pulse visibly from her body,
Gendai: (lowering her stance) "Get ready. Round two's here."
