The question had inexplicably surprised Hazel. What was her opinion about her classmates?
"Except for a few, the others are unbelievably irresponsible and foolish."
Hazel's words were sharp and crude, probably unpleasant to the ears, but Instructor Itou remained indifferent.
"Accurate. Then why do you think you were placed in such a defective crowd?"
Instructor Itou's question struck a chord in Hazel, arousing several unpleasant memories. Especially that where Kaiser had stated her natural flaws to her quite clearly.
Seeing this, the Instructor smirked.
"You must have already realized this right? Humanity had become ultimately twisted after the apocalypse." She started, "We all have our own flaws naturally—thus, preventing us from becoming truly perfect. And, the Mothercore's intervention to impose artificial flaws on us had been further destructive for our nature."
