Morning had begun to creep through the halls of the royal palace. Golden sunlight quietly filtered through the thick curtains of the room, while the soft chirping of birds in the nearby garden filled the air with a calming melody though perhaps, beneath it, a subtle hint of deceit.
Alpha slowly opened his eyes, his weary gaze fixed on the high ceiling adorned with ancient carvings. He took a deep breath, then sat up quietly on the bed, his long black hair falling over his shoulders.
He waved a hand slowly in front of him, as if brushing away the remnants of a dream he couldn't quite recall, and muttered under his breath:
"Suspiciously quiet… Mornings like this always signal something's coming."
He rose in silence and walked to the window, cracking it open slightly. A cool breeze swept in, fresh and fragrant with the scent of flowers and the subtle sound of life within the palace.
