Change of POV: 3rd
They fought for minutes.
Other Hunters, with their eyes sharpened watched the 1v1 exchange between Mizu and the Lizard King, without a doubt prepared to act if there is a need to.
Especially Morgan, her right hand already extended, ready to cast a spell towards the Lizard-King at first chance she gets, without a doubt.
Back to the fight.
Lizard-King's Great-Sword clashed against Mizu's long sword, sparks flared.
They exchanged countless more blows against each other in that single standoff, sparks flared as their blades meet.
Lizard-King's blood-lusted gaze and expression not moving from Mizu-San's sweating form.
Mizu was not in top condition right now, he had been lazy with exercises so he blames himself, he is barely meeting ends in defensive capabilities against the Lizard King.
Lizard-King snarled as it could not bypass Mizu-San sheer skills with it's strength, after all, who would win in simple contest of blows? A simple strength or simple strength with skills to go along with it?
~Swish!
~Zig!
They exchanged their blows for couple more times, before Mizu-San realizing that he needs to go to offensive and not simple defence, otherwise he would have been crashed eventually under it's force.
So with that in mind, Mizu-San did something unthinkable, something ridiculous and rather dangerous.
He used his own leg as another type of a strike, he coated his leg in pure-mana, to act as additional 'strength boost' by exploding that same mana in 'fire motion'.
With swift and decisive strike, his leg moved and kicked towards Lizard-King's own knee, in attempt to knock it down.
But then, something ridiculous and unexpected happened, the same crude and 'skill-less' Lizard-King moved, his hand holding his Great-Sword did acrobatic move, by jumping back and twirling in fast-motion till.
For that one second, the Lizard-King's turned into a flying Beyblade, a green beyblade, it last for a moment, till the beast landed on the exact same spot it was on a second ago, just narrowly avoiding Mizu-San's kick.
Still, everyone, especially Mizu-San was surprised by this action, who would have expected this brainless Lizard to do such acrobatic movement in a split of a second to avoid a certainly lethal attack that could have ended it's life in instant.
It had a damn good instincts.
The moment the Lizard-King landed it unleashed a terrifying swing of it's Great-Sword towards Mizu-San who was caught off guard by it's earlier movements and was not prepared to dodge it and thus was forced to block it.
The strength of the blow caused a small shockwave to pass through once Lizard-King's Great-Sword meet Mizu-San's blade, sparks flew.
Mizu-San gritted his teeth, his knees buckled up under the beast's pressure.
Lizard-King's strength is not only comparable to Mizu-San's own, but it's speed too, now added a momentum from the previous 'Beyblade movement' was an extremely ferocious experience.
Not to mention that much of the Lizard's strength comes from their own body weight.
~BOOM!
Lizard-King, annoyed with current turn of events could not take it anymore and decided to kick Mizu away, the force of that kick was so strong that he pushed Mizu meters away.
Mizu felt as if he has a broken rib or two, just from that simple kick. But he had no luxury to grab his chest over pain, He gritted his teeth further as he dodge a downward slash from the Lizard-King.
Their exchange continued for following minutes, but it was slowly obvious that Lizard-King is losing it's own advantage.
The more attacks they exchanged, the more Lizard-King would tire out, and while Mizu was not able to make any 'significant' injury, he was able to leave scratches all over it's body.
Why?
Well, the more scratches, the easier it would be for the beast to be affected by the poison.
Well, Mizu if he fought a Human he would not have done this, but right now..
He doesn't care.
Once LIzard-King interlocked his Great-Sword with Mizu's own blade once more, Mizu's hand moved fast towards the bag he was carrying on his hip, before taking out a small yet 'hand-sized' vial.
Vial with green liquid in it, since the beast was only a meter away from him, it was not able to dodge nor it 'sensed danger nor need to do it', as poison itself is not really a 'threat' that much.
The green vial splashed on Lizard-King's chest, and entered it's wounds from all over it's body, a small scratches to be precise.
The 'poison' in reality was not a real poison, rather it's a potion that causes 'stiff-muscles, back-pain, sluggish-movement and blurry vision'. It's not deadly, and effects would last only for 5 minutes at most.
The reason that Mizu doesn't carry a real poison with him is because he doesn't feel the need to do so, this potion is already 'considered cheating if used against a Human', he likes to think on 'What if the poison was used against him'? The good thing is he already developed 'resistance' for this specific potion.
After all, if he is going to use it on battle-field and in some case it was used against him, he should at least be capable of resisting it for some time.
That's not to say that effects are instant, it would take a minute or two for it to take effects, and this whole time Mizu was deliberately targeting Lizard-King's muscles and weak points to only scratch it a little bit.
A scratch is all he needs after all.
Lizard-King continued it's own pursuit as it without a stop, continued attacking Mizu, who by now shifted from blocking to dodging.
He will save his strength and then once Morgan-Sama deals a blow to the Lizard-King, he shall kill it effortlessly, and the 'poison' he splashed it with could also be excused for that reason too, after all Morgan-Sama needs to land one wound, if she does not then they might as well have wasted all their time and efforts to get here,.
~Boom!
Lizard, as it felt and knew it was getting tired, for some reason 'too fast' compared to before, and due to it's low intelligence was not capable to connect the dots between 'Bottle with strange liquid and it's own energy till now'.
But nevertheless, it came up to a conclusion to kill the Human in front of it, and it shall do so right here and right now!.
It rared once more!
"RRROOOAAAR!" In Mizu's face, catching him slightly off guard before slashing at him with it's own great-sword with all it's force!
But unfortunately for it! While Mizu was caught off guard, he was still more than capable to block the humongous sword.
Seeing this, the Lizard-King's breaths gotten 'heavy'.
It need to kill the Human in front of it as fast as possible, and not caring about it's own Injuries at the moment, which only consisted of small scratches.
It punched it's own great-sword and pushing it towards Mizu.
The lizard grunted before punching the blunt end of his sword, thus coincidentally pushing Mizu back further to the walls, launching him towards the walls.. But it did not stop there, the beast lunged at now motionless Mizu.
~Swish!
Great-Sword swung towards the motionless Mizu, who just in time managed to duck under it, thus the Great-Sword ended up slicing the walls behind Mizu and yet above him.
Lizard-King attempted to pull it's own Great-Sword, it tried but could not.
It frowned, the Lizard got so much weaker that it could not pull it's own weapon from the walls!?
It attempted to roar one last time, as it saw Human's blade approaching, but it didn't get the chance.
Four weapons struck it from behind.
One [Kasaka's Venom Fang] Dagger, one [Mithril-Spear] and two [Kasaka's Venom Fang's Spears] and poison coursed through it's own body, yet before it could scream or hiss, it's head was split into two by Mizu..
Yes, just before Mizu delivered a last blow, Morgan took out her weapons from the [Inventory] and combined with [Dominator's Touch] threw them directly at Lizard's back, Just before it got cut into two.
And Morgan noticed how [Kasaka's Venom Fang's Spear]'s and [Kasaka Venom Fang] Dagger did not 'pierce through the Lizard-King's thick skin], yet [Mithril-Spear] was capable and sharp enough to do so.
[Mithril-Spear] pierced it's right hadn.
