Hearing the Principal's final validating words his public agreement with the Emperor Adam simply smiled.
He looked up at the old man on the stage. "Thank you very much Principal for granting me this much leeway," he said.
His voice was respectful but it was also filled with an unshakeable confidence that was almost startling.
"Within one week the Emperor's signature will be in my possession. The document will be here officially sanctioning our new group. I give you my personal guarantee." He made it sound like a simple task a small errand he had to run.
The Principal took a deep breath. A flicker of amusement showed in his ancient eyes. He was clearly intrigued by this boy's incredible self-assurance.
He then turned his attention to the entire student body in the vast auditorium.
His voice once again resonated throughout the hall reaching every corner.
"I want to make this clear to all students here today," he announced.
