Riven charged in. This was his opening—his opportunity to stop Lance. Inside his domain, every flame attack would hit harder, so he wanted to take advantage of that and finish this.
Lance, on the other hand, saw a mad monster rushing toward him, and despite the fact that the heat was trying to stop him, he knew he had to push forward.
"Arrrghhhhhhh!" he yelled from the bottom of his guts and charged toward Riven. His sword shined with holy light, and for a brief moment, bright angel-like wings shined behind him.
Riven didn't wait for Lance to get close and used Flame Blast, pouring as much mana as he could into the attack. Due to the domain, the effect was immediately doubled. The Flame Blast traveled toward Lance.
Lance slashed down with all his strength. His sword collided with the Flame Blast.
"Arghhhhhh!" he yelled, pushing down with all his strength. He finally managed to cut through the Flame Blast.
