Chapter 69 - The upcoming war

Ravihiro's return to the Sky Demon Sect was swift and silent. His mind churned with the gravity of recent events—the mysterious crash, the advanced spaceship, the revelation of Arav, and the horrifying truths about the unknown civilization and the monstrous entity that loomed over their worlds. He knew this was not something he could handle alone, even with his immense power. The Sky Demon Sect had to be informed, especially Rumina and her father, the sect leader.Lord Bhrihadvarta

The Council Convened

Ravihiro and Arav entered the sect's grand hall, where the sect elders, Rumina, and the sect leader—Rumina's father, Lord Bhrihadvarta—awaited. The atmosphere was tense, the air heavy with anticipation.

Lord Bhridvarta, a man of immense presence and wisdom, sat at the head of the council table. His piercing eyes focused on Ravihiro and the stranger at his side. Rumina stood beside her father, her expression calm but her gaze lingering on Ravihiro with curiosity and concern.

"Ravihiro," Lord Bhridvarta's voice boomed, his tone commanding, "What is the meaning of this unexpected assembly? And who is this outsider?"

Ravihiro stepped forward, his posture unwavering, yet his voice carried an undertone of urgency. "Sect Leader Tianzu, Elders, and disciples, this is Arav—a man who has come from a place far beyond this world. What he has to share concerns not only our sect but the very survival of this realm."

The council erupted into murmurs, the elders exchanging glances filled with skepticism and worry. Rumina's sharp eyes narrowed, sensing the gravity behind Ravihiro's words. She leaned forward slightly, her voice cutting through the murmurs.

"Speak plainly, Ravihiro. What is this about?"

Ravihiro nodded at Arav, who took a hesitant step forward. His once-proud demeanor had given way to a grim resolve. He glanced nervously around the room before speaking.

"My name is Arav, and I hail from a world called Earth," he began. His voice was steady, but the weight of his words hung in the air. "Our world has been ravaged by a series of cataclysmic events. Monsters, beings of unimaginable power, have emerged. Entire regions have fallen under the influence of an ancient entity known as Ravana. But that's not all. Among these terrors lies something far worse—an unknown civilization of monstrous beings. They call themselves the Viroshis."

The Revelation

The mention of the name "Viroshis" caused a ripple of unease to spread through the room. Several elders stiffened in their seats, their faces paling visibly. Elder Mei, known for her vast knowledge of ancient myths, gasped audibly.

Arav continued, his gaze darting between the shocked faces. "The Viroshis are not mere monsters. They are an ancient civilization that predates even the gods. They've begun their resurgence, and their goal… is unknown. But their appearance alone has brought destruction and chaos to my world."

Lord Bhridvarta leaned forward, his expression grim. "You speak of myths—tales buried in the dust of forgotten history. How can we trust your words?"

Arav's hands clenched into fists. "Because I've seen them with my own eyes. I've witnessed their power, their monstrosities. They don't just destroy; they enslave. And now… they're coming for your world."

Elder Mei finally spoke, her voice trembling. "The Viroshis… they were said to be sealed away eons ago by the combined efforts of gods and primordial beings. If they've returned, then this is no ordinary calamity. Their leader, known as 'The Herald of Oblivion,' wields the power to reshape entire realms."

Her words sent a chill through the room. Ravihiro noticed Rumina's expression falter for the first time. Her hands tightened into fists, her usual composure cracking under the weight of this revelation.

The Sect's Reaction

One of the younger elders, Elder Jian, stood abruptly. "If what this man says is true, then why now? Why have the Viroshis returned? And what do they want?"

Arav hesitated before answering. "On Earth, we consulted ancient scriptures—some of which were far older than humanity itself. They spoke of a 'chosen one,' a person tied to the fate of these beings. Someone whose past holds the key to their rise… and their fall."

The room turned to Ravihiro as if by instinct. His face remained impassive, but his mind raced. Could this be why he was drawn into this world? Was this tied to the mysterious powers he had awakened?

Lord Bhridvarta rose from his seat, his authoritative presence silencing the room. "If the Viroshis have truly returned, then the Sky Demon Sect must prepare for war. But first, we must confirm their intentions. Arav, do you know their current location or their next move?"

Arav shook his head. "Their movements are unpredictable. But I do know one thing—they're watching. And they won't wait for long before making their presence known."

The Pale Faces of Recognition

As the elders deliberated, Ravihiro's sharp senses caught the faintest shifts in their expressions. There was more to their reaction than shock—there was recognition. They knew something.

Ravihiro's voice cut through the discussions like a blade. "You're hiding something."

The elders froze, their pale faces betraying them. Elder Mei looked away, while Elder Jian's hands trembled slightly. Even Lord Bhridvarta's stern demeanor faltered for a brief moment. Rumina noticed it too, her sharp gaze flickering between her father and the elders.

"What do you know about the Viroshis?" Ravihiro pressed, his tone cold and commanding.

Lord Bhridvarta finally spoke, his voice low but firm. "There are… records. Fragments of ancient texts stored in the Forbidden Archives of our sect. They speak of the Viroshis and their connection to this realm. But we never thought those stories would come to pass."

Rumina stepped forward, her voice sharp. "Why were these records hidden? If the sect knew of such a threat, why wasn't anything done?"

Lord Bhridvarta sighed heavily. "Because the records are incomplete. They mention a prophecy… but the details were lost long ago. All we know is that the Viroshis seek something—a key to their ultimate power. And if they find it…"

He didn't finish his sentence, but the implication was clear. The sect fell into silence, the weight of the revelation suffocating. Ravihiro turned to Rumina, their eyes meeting briefly.

"We don't have time for fear," Ravihiro said. "If the Viroshis are coming, we need to be ready."
