And what Viviana had feared turned out to be the truth. Two days without any explanation or closure, Lyra's fans were getting more and more impatient. And the netizens with righteous mindset were convinced that Viviana had done it intentionally and were flooding her and the company's account with demands for explanation.
And that was when another bomb dropped. It was a video of a middle aged woman who was crying and begging for justice against Viviana whom she alleged was the murderer of her daughter who had passed away ten years ago.
It did not catch attention at first. But Trinity_Life, a tabloid account which was dedicated to bringing Viviana down, made a grid image of her previous posts and uploaded them on the account.
Her first post began around the time of Viviana's debut.
-[A murder should be banned from the industry.]
And the rest were also of similar context. There were thousands of comments she left on the posts related to Viviana. But people had just assumed that she was just another hater like themselves and not paid to her context.
But the video this time explained everything.
The woman was called Britney, a single mom. Well used to be a single mom. She had a daughter named Hanni, a gift of God who had come into her forsaken life. But this gift from God only stayed with her for only 13 years.
The mother and daughter had only themselves to depend on. Hanni had always been kind to others and knew of the struggles her mother had in bringing her up all on her own. She never demanded for anything her friends had but she didn't and was very satisfied with the bare minimum she was getting.
Yet, she was always a bright girl and never complained about the hard life she was living with her mother.
That was until she entered middle school. Britney noticed that her daughter had been visibly more distant from her. She detested herself for thinking it was just a sign of her adolescence. If she had paid more attention, she could've seen the sign of her daughter being bullied at school.
Then she would've not gotten the call from her school saying that her daughter had jumped off the building and was being rushed to the hospital. Then she would not have to arrange her own daughter's funeral.
For days she blamed herself for not noticing that Hanni was under pressure. Her teachers had explained to her before that she was getting barely passable marks. And she had even scolded her for not doing her studies properly.
For days she assumed that her daughter had taken her own life because she could not handle the pressure of failing in two subjects when she had always been a bright student for her whole life.
It was until she began cleaning up her things that she noticed her daughter's books had been torn up. There were multiple comments on the pages about her poor life and her characterless mother.
Britney searched everything in the room and was heartbroken to have never noticed that her daughter was a victim of a school bully. She did not rush with her steps and collected everything that could be evidence. The books that contained the comments, her messed up uniforms and specially the dairy that had details about her bullies.
Then she filed for a case. There were six accused, but amongst them was a girl named Viviana, who came from a fairly rich family with connections. She was the gang leader of these bullies.
With multiple pieces of evidence in hand, they could not escape justice from being served. Or so she believed.
The judge came with a verdict that sentenced them to two months of community service and an essay of two thousand words. For his reason, they were juvenile and bright students and knew not of goods and bads. It would be unfair of them to be recorded for something they had mistakenly done in the immature state.
Britney was heartbroken that she did not have the power to give justice to her daughter. For years she blamed herself.
The perpetrators had left the city and continued with their lives. But she had lost her daughter, her only light. Forever.
For seven years, she lived her life like a broken disk, repeating the same thing again and again. Until she saw an article, 'A Young Bud of the industry pouring drinks on Golden Awardee, one of the Nation's Flower.'
Then she saw the familiar name again, Viviana. And all the hatred and unfairness she felt rose up again. The girl had done some face jobs, but she could recognise her anywhere.
For three years, she had been trying to get attention, to expose her dirty sides to the world. And she felt encouraged that there were many who felt that same about the girl.
Then someone approached her. Asking her in detail what her post meant. She narrated everything to the person. The person advised her to make a video instead of just posting. And that he would help her get more attention.
And he was right, now the whole world knew that her daughter did not commit suicide, but was made to take her own life.
"Do you think this is okay?"
Lyra asked the person who was hugging her. His hands clearly are not in the place where they should be.
"I've made her play the game enough. If she doesn't appreciate my mercy. Then I'll show her my rage." Director Yan paused as he hissed.
Lyra couldn't be more satisfied with hearing what she had always wanted to hear from the person.
"But we're not even sure if it's Sister Viviana who was a bully. And… the mother had been obsessed with the name for a long time and she exploded just at the mention of the name. What if she had just mistaken Sister Vivi for her daughter's bully?"
Lyra knew how much of a bully Vivi was. None as of now. And she had seen the picture of the bully too. Although there was similarity, it was not sure if the person was really the Viviana that she hated.
"Whether she is the person or not doesn't matter. We'll just use the name to throw shade on her." Director Yan said.
"But wouldn't the truth come out, eventually?" Lyra was concerned that all the effort will be for naught like always.
Hearing that, Director Yan sneered.
"That's why we gotta act fast. Before the truth is exposed, we have to burn her down to ashes."
Lyra was very pleased that she could not help but turn her head and give the older man a kiss. The two exchanged their breath and taste for a few minutes before they broke off the seal.
"Will she accept this though?" Lyra asked as she was trying to catch her breath.
"Oh… She will have to. Whether she likes it or not."
Lyra was smiling from eye to eye. Things were much easier with power behind her. She had merely brought the notice of Britney's existence to him, and he had executed what she had never been able to do in just a matter of hours.
Now she was enjoying reading the hate Viviana was getting.
