The next day, at 10:00AM In the morning, Alex was standing on a hill, he was watching and enjoying the city scape. He thought to himself "Once again, the city of Kagahara is at peace. No huge explosions, no energy beams flying around, no screaming and panicking of citizens. Just a peaceful and nostalgic vibe.". While Alex was just enjoying his peaceful moment, Kazuki appeared behind him, Kazuki called out "Yo, idiot. I see you're here by yourself.", Alex didn't turn back to respond "Don't call me and idiot, IDIOT.". Kazuki walked up to Alex's sitting point and sat down with him, he looked down the hill "So you're also enjoying the peace of the city too, can't say I'm surprised, it's something we've been doing for a long time now.", Alex replied "I know, right? It gives me nostalgia from when we used to be kids on D-rank. At that time, getting stronger was the only thing we ever thought of, we were even so concerned about our futures.". Kazuki scoffed with a smirk "I know. You kind of remind me of Kinto.", Kazuki said to Alex with a little bit of annoyance "Don't compare me to him.", Alex's weird smil grew wider "Eh?". Alex turned back to look at the city from the hill he was sitting on "Hey, Kazuki. Do you want me to tell you something?", Kazuki asked "What?". Alex explained "I've realised something. Every time we survive a fight or an intense battle, there's always this calm feeling that is left for those who survived. Think of it. If you nor I didn't fight for our lives like the way we did for all this time, we wouldn't he here enjoying ourselves. Don't you think?", Kazuki replied Alex with a smirk "Offcourse, I'm a bit stunned to say this, but you're right. The calm after the storm is something only people who survived the storm can enjoy. The soldiers and citizens who died in the storm can't enjoy the beauty of life anymore. It doesn't matter how weak you are, if you survive, you're strong. Although some people are way to fixated on the things they lost In the storm.". Alex just sighed "You're so right.", Alex looks up to the sky "Look at us, we're talking like a bunch of old heads who have been through a lot for years.", Kazuki replied "Well, we have been fighting and going on missions since we were twelve, so... it only makes sense if we reflect like this.". Alex just smiled "You're right...", the breeze of the peaceful, quiet city started to blow on both boys. Kazuki's purple hair and and purple trench jacket was flowing with the wind, and Alex's white hair and red jacket was also blowing with the wind. As the quiet breeze brushed over them, Alex asked Kazuki "Hey, Kazuki? Do you remember the time we came here as kids and said something about coming back to this exact hill when we became the strongest?", Kazuki paused for a moment before he scoffed with a smile "Oh, I remember. We both sat down together here and did a fist bump after making that promise.". Alex turned to Kazuki "Well? Do you think we're the strongest?", Kazuki replied "Hm, who knows. I mean, we definitely are stronger than most people, and there's no denying that if the world were in danger, we alone can save it. Although, after witnessing alot of things, I cant say for sure.". Alex took a deep breath in and out "You want to know what I think? I think.....", he looked at Kazuki with a smirk, his red eyes were starting to shine abit "We are the strongest.", Kazuki smirked while trying to hold off his cackle "Well, if you put it like that, it makes you sound so arrogant.". Alex replied "You're right, it does make me sound arrogant. Although I don't think I'm lying.". Kazuki replied Alex with a smirk "Well, if we remove Veronica and Diablo out of the equation, then maybe.", Alex made a lazy sigh "Ahhh? Veronica? Oh yeah, she is strong, stronger than us both. Well whatever, we'll just keep working our way to the top. We can't just be satisfied with the strength we have, we have to work harder to get stronger. If we don't, we'll just sound like arrogant idiots who just happened to be blessed with power.", Kazuki replied "With how you say it, it sounds almost insulting.". Kazuki stood up, and told Alex "By the way Alex, I want to show you something.", Alex looked at him and blinked "What?". Kazuki opened up a portal and turned to him "Let's enter, shall we?". Meanwhile, Kinto was practicing his gun training. He was standing in a place while shooting bullets cloaked with red energy at some beasts. Kinto was just standing in a place while shooting bullets at beasts that resembled bears, they were jumping all over the place at high speeds in hopes to blitz Kinto and catch him off guard. Some of the bears were being blasted apart due to the strength of the bullets, some were shot straight on the head, and some ran back into the forest, Kinto didn't even need to start jumping around and dodging to kill them, all he needed to do was just point his arms in the directions the beasts were jumping and charging from. After killing a large number of bears, Kinto looked around the mess of blood and scattered body parts of the monsters "Wow, I really did over do it.", Sukuna and Baraka walk up to him "So this is where you've been.", Sukuna said. Baraka looked around him "Wow, you really did over do it.", Kinto added "I know, I just said that.". Kinto used his thumb to point to the dead and destroyed bears "Hey, Sukuna. Do you mind burning these corpses to ashes?", Sukuna replied "Sure.". She gathered some plasma on her palm and blasted it on the ground like flames, this casused the body parts of the bears to burn and turn to ash in mere seconds. Kinto stretched a little, he looked at the guns he was holding, one was a dark revolver and the other was a pistol that was made out of the same materials as his croas explosives. Kinto stared at them for mere moments until Sukuna called to him while waving "Kinto, let's go.". Kinto smiled at his team "Its funny because aside from Alex and Deo, these two are the one's who get me the most. Sukuna, Baraka, im so glad we are a team.", he walked towards "Sorry, you two. I was overthinking again.". Sukuna sighed "Whatever, let's just go hangout.", Kinto smiled faintly as he walked away with his teammates.
