I was nervous as hell as we left the king's wing, and I let out a sigh of relief once we were in the open air. I had been so frightened that the prince was going to attack the king, and I had been so scared about that because I just knew that couldn't end well.
The prince glanced down at me and I felt butterflies dance around the insides of my stomach when his hand stroked my hair.
"What's wrong? You feel tense," the prince spoke as his eyes searched my face.
"I- I thought you were gonna fight the king, I was so scared," I admitted and the sides of his lips twitched as he kept regarding me.
"Why? That's what you want?"
I horridly shook my head, "what? No! I don't want that, that would undoubtedly cause more problems; especially for you. I don't want that."
His eyes softened as he kept staring down at me.
