Kakashi carried Naruto on his back as he wandered through the arena, searching for Hinata. Earlier, he hadn't paid attention to where Hinata was seated—he had been too busy counting the number of ANBU operatives scattered around the venue. Now, while carrying Naruto, he took the opportunity to walk around and check for any hidden ANBU agents.

However, he found none. Such a large venue only had a sparse scattering of ANBU keeping watch.

*This isn't normal.*

Something felt off about today's situation.

"Hey, Kakashi-sensei, are you blind in your Sharingan? I've already spotted that big target Hinata from over here, and you still haven't noticed her?"

Naruto couldn't help but mock him. Kakashi had been walking around with his Sharingan activated for a full circle and still hadn't located Hinata. Was the eye Obito gave him a counterfeit? Or had Rin accidentally mixed up a glass ball with the Sharingan during the transplant?

And even after Naruto pointed it out, Kakashi still claimed he hadn't seen her!

At this moment, Naruto was slung over Kakashi's back, using a vase to drink water. If he didn't rehydrate soon, all the cells in his body would shut down.

"Oh, found her," Kakashi said dismissively, slowly heading toward Hinata, who was seated on the opposite side of the arena.

Naruto's hand trembled with anger. *You're still brushing me off?!*

Grabbing a piece of paper and a pen, Naruto spread it out on Kakashi's back and began writing furiously. His hand shook slightly from irritation.

**Leaf Village, Year 60, August ** Day**

Today, during my match against Neji, I sustained severe injuries to both legs after unleashing my ultimate technique, leaving me unable to walk properly. At a time when I desperately needed Hinata's comfort, Kakashi-sensei instead carried me around the arena stands like we were on a leisurely stroll.

This grudge, I will remember.

P.S. Hinata is my favorite girl.

—Uzumaki Naruto

Kakashi, prepare to die.

When you meet my late mother in the afterlife, be ready to explain why you let her son get his kidneys busted and delayed him from finding a wife.

If she doesn't beat the crap out of you, this note will have been written in vain.

Kakashi rolled his eyes again.

*I'm handling important matters here. Why can't this kid understand?*

As an elite ninja renowned throughout the entire shinobi world, even through layers of clothing, and despite Naruto's shaky handwriting, Kakashi could easily sense what Naruto had written.

But Kakashi didn't think much of it—he simply dismissed it as childish nonsense.

Clearly, he hadn't yet realized the gravity of the situation.

"Good morning, Lord Hyuga," Kakashi said as he set Naruto down.

"Morning, Kakashi." Everyone in the village knew that Kakashi considered anything before 10 AM as "morning."

"Good morning, Uncle," Naruto greeted politely, then allowed Hinata to help him sit down on a chair.

"Hmph." Hyuga Hiashi shot both Naruto and Hinata a Byakugan glare, huffed loudly, and turned to leave.

He had traded seats with someone else earlier to allow Hinata to watch over Hanabi. Now, he needed to check on Neji.

Neji's desperate and despairing gaze at the moment of his defeat hadn't escaped Hiashi's Byakugan. Neji was a genius, the future of the Hyuga clan, and Hiashi didn't want to see him broken by this loss.

The loud "hmmph" wasn't directed at Naruto injuring Neji—that much was normal. Even within the Hyuga clan's internal sparring matches, injuries sometimes occurred, and Hiashi wasn't particularly bothered by that.

What irked him was Hinata. How could she just hand over her seat to someone who had nearly killed her brother moments ago? Whose family does she belong to? Should she change her surname to Uzumaki already?

"Naruto-kun, are you alright?" Hinata asked worriedly. She had already activated her Byakugan to examine Naruto's injuries—they were worse than Rock Lee's muscle tears.

"Don't worry, I'll recover soon," Naruto reassured her. He knew his own monstrous body better than anyone. Within two hours, he'd be back to his usual lively self.

"Byakugan!" Hanabi, the little loli, activated her own Byakugan to inspect Naruto's condition.

Naruto smirked. *You little loli, activating your Byakugan so early. No wonder people always try to steal your eyes.*

"Hey! Did you sustain these injuries just to hit Neji-nii once? Are you stupid? And what's with that smug look on your face?!" Hanabi shouted indignantly. This was the guy who nearly killed her brother, and now he was cozying up to her sister. This grudge, she vowed to remember.

"You little brat, don't talk if you don't understand," Naruto retorted. *I did it for his own good, okay?*

"All right, stop arguing, both of you," Hinata interjected softly. "Naruto-kun, this is my younger sister, Hanabi."

"Hanabi, this is Naruto-kun, whom I've mentioned to you before," Hinata added shyly, feeling as though she were introducing her boyfriend to a family member. Though it was only her younger sister, their father had seen it too, hadn't he?

"ONEE-CHAN!!!" Hanabi's resentment filled the entire stadium. This guy had nearly killed her brother earlier, and now he was bullying her sister. Instead of helping, Hinata was blushing? Whose family does she belong to?!

Naruto shot Hanabi a triumphant grin. *Of course the loli I raised sides with me.*

And can you please get off my wife? She can't even eat properly like this.

Hanabi wasn't heartless. Knowing Naruto's leg injuries made it hard for him to move, she didn't kick him off the chair. Instead, she clung tightly to Hinata's back, trying to assert her dominance over her sister.

Hinata looked at Naruto with concern, one hand holding Hanabi on her back while the other clumsily shelled pine nuts. It was difficult to manage with just one hand, and several times the nuts slipped and fell.

Naruto placed the vase in Hinata's hands, inserted the straw into the bottle, and let her feed him water. With both hands free, he began shelling pine nuts and feeding them to Hinata.

In this way, they perfectly solved the problem of Hinata needing to eat and Naruto needing to drink.

Hanabi tightened her grip around Hinata's neck. Clearly, her earlier declaration of ownership hadn't been clear enough—she needed to step up her actions!

For some reason, though she hadn't eaten breakfast, Hanabi felt an inexplicable sense of fullness in her stomach.

"Hanabi, you're squeezing a bit too tight."

"Oh, sorry," Hanabi loosened her grip slightly.

Hinata picked up the vase and sipped some water through the straw to wash down the stubborn pine nut stuck in her throat. Since Naruto had fed it to her, she couldn't bear to spit it out.

*Burp!* Hanabi let out a small belch.

"Can we get started already?!"

"Can't you hurry up and walk faster?!"

"Did you get hit by our Tsuchikage's *Weighted Rock Technique* or something?!"

The shouts from the audience grew louder and more chaotic.

Shikamaru was up for the second match, facing Kankuro.

At this moment, Shikamaru was moving at a pace slightly faster than Naruto's injured shuffle.

*Such a hassle,* Shikamaru thought. If he won, his dad would go drinking and bragging with Inoichi and Choza, which Mom would inevitably find out about. Then, Dad would drag him into the mess, and Mom would scold him too.

If he lost, Mom would complain about having such a lazy son and blame it all on Dad, saying things like, "This is just how your Nara family is. No amount of intelligence can overcome your laziness."

Ah… Why isn't there a jutsu that lets me sleep through battles automatically?

The stadium descended into chaos as random objects flew toward Shikamaru.

Naruto's sharp reflexes caught a flying baseball cap that zipped past his head. The style and color looked oddly familiar.

Glancing at Hanabi out of the corner of his eye, an idea formed in his mind. Grabbing some dye, he wrote the words *Blood Platelets* on the hat.

With a quick flick, he slapped it onto Hanabi's head.

Hanabi, who had been burying her face in Hinata's hair, glared at Naruto. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?!"

"The sun's out. It's to shade you," Naruto replied nonchalantly.

Your whole family gives me the Byakugan glare every day. A little payback isn't too much, is it?
