Chapter 78 - Chapter 78 The Uchiha Who Laugh

Kadoya strolled back into the Uchiha Compound, the afternoon sun casting long shadows across the stone path. As he approached the main house, one of the clan members greeted him with an overly eager smile, wide and sharp.

"Welcome back, Clan Head," the man said, his voice almost syrupy.

Kadoya gave him an odd glance, wondering why this Uchiha's smile looked like he was about to kill someone. He didn't feel bothered, gave him a quick nod, and simply walked past him, letting the unsettling energy roll off his shoulders.

Inside his house grounds, his eyes fell on a familiar figure in the backyard, Erza, practicing kenjutsu under the dappled shade of the garden trees. Each movement of her blade was sharp and focused. Nearby, standing with her arms crossed, was Natsumi.

"Welcome back, Clan Head Kadoya," Natsumi greeted flatly, her tone polite but unmistakably distant.

"Hello, sis," Kadoya replied, his voice just as dry, the warmth absent.

They stared at each other for a moment, silence stretching between them.

He didn't really understand her coldness. Sure, his training methods had been harsh, perhaps too harsh, but they had been necessary.

Natsumi, meanwhile, looked at her younger brother with a complicated mix of pride, bitterness, and quiet resentment. Once, she had been the stronger sibling, the one who was supposed to guide and protect. Now, she couldn't even keep up with his shadow. Her pride as the elder sister had been cracked, if not outright shattered.

To Kadoya, she was still Natsumi, the older sister figure, dependable when needed… and if he ever failed to master the balance of Yin and Yang Attribute, her eyes could serve as his path to the Eternal Mangekyou.

They walked past one another in silence, neither saying another word.

The once-close siblings now felt like strangers living under the same roof, tied by blood, but drifting further apart.

Speaking of the Mangekyou...

Back inside his room, Kadoya sat cross-legged on the wooden floor. The silence was thick, the air still. He stared into the mirror in front of him, eyes locking with his own reflection.

His irises bled red, three tomoe spinning into view.

The Uchiha way of awakening the Sharingan is through extreme emotions, mostly coming from a traumatic event that caused their eyes to evolve and reach a higher power.

And the power those eyes will awaken is based on that emotional event, combined with the user's want and need, hoping for a way to prevent that event from ever happening.

So, just witnessing a traumatic event was enough to awaken the Mangekyou.

Doesn't that mean that Genjutsu would also work?

"Tsukuyomi!"

Kadoya directly activates Tsukuyomi on himself, using himself as a test subject to see if he could unlock the Mangekyou.

Hours passed with no further development until Kadoya finally snapped out from Tsukuyomi, blood tears running down both his eyes.

Looking down at his reflection, he could see that it had changed, from the regular three-tomoe into something completely different.

His eyes were similar to Naori's, with their color being inverted. The entire pupil was completely black instead of red, and the Mangekyou's pattern was a simple red X shape.

"I actually did it..." He muttered, his excitement couldn't be hidden with the sinister smirk on his face.

He began to chuckle before bursting out into his usual loud, crazy laughter.

Fortunately, he had already placed silencing seals around his room to block all sound from escaping; otherwise, the surrounding Uchiha might have cold feed and begun running toward the hill, afraid of the Uchiha Who Laugh.

"Kadoya!!" Naori was extremely panicked and flabbergasted.

This was the first time she ever saw an Uchiha awaken the Mangekyou through Genjutsu.

If the Uchiha could awaken their Mangekyou this way, then surely the Clan's power could rise to an all-time high, but this plan also has a dangerous side effect.

If everyone is Kage-Level with the Mangekyou, they might begin to infighting for the position of Clan Head.

Naori recalled that during the time of the First Great Ninja War, the Uchiha had a few Mangekyou users. The Uchiha also began abusing Izanagi.

This forced her to create Izanami to break the Clan Curse of Hatred. Leading them to stop abusing Izanagi, and sealing off the two jutsu away, and labeling them both as forbidden techniques.

But still, Kadoya isn't listening to her, and he keeps laughing.

"Kid! Snap out of it!" She shook him, trying to stop him from falling any deeper into madness.

"Wow! You now have Mama's eyes too!" Tiamat suddenly appeared beside him, her tone filled with excitement.

Indeed, Tiamat's eyes and his Mangekyou do look alike. Having the same design with the only difference being the color.

Tiamat's eyes are brighter, her pupil is a pinkish shade of red, with the X in her eyes is a bright pink.

Kadoya's eyes are the natural Uchiha's eye color, his pupil is black, with the X in his eyes is a crimson red.

"You're not helping!" Naori didn't even bother to question who Tiamat is at this point anymore.

After almost laughing himself to death, Kadoya finally calmed down and examined his new ocular power.

Kadoya has done a lot of thinking in the past, with his understanding of the Mangekyou Sharingan.

Known as the "Eyes that Reflect the Heart," at the moment of the Mangekyou's awakening, ocular abilities are born from the user's intense desires and needs.

So Kadoya has formed a genjutsu that pushed him into a position where he has obtained the abilities he desired.

In the Naruto fandom, there have been many debates on whether the Rinnegan or the Mangekyou Sharingan is stronger.

Although the Rinnegan gives a more god-like power to the user, Kadoya actually finds the Mangekyou's ability is more suited for combat, which mostly stems from the user's desire to prevent the traumatic event that caused those eyes to awaken from ever happening.

And it also seems to be no limits to whatever ability one could be awakened, so Kadoya has tested and pushed his own limit. Awakening the ability to manipulate concepts.

Thus, "Shunkan Teishi" and "Rei no Ketsugō" were born.

Shunkan Teishi embodies the concepts of Pause. And Rei no Ketsugō embodies the concepts of Zero.

Instead of wanting to burn the world and create Amaterasu, escape from reality through Tsukuyomi, or create a new world with Kamui.

His two ocular powers each embody the concepts of Pause and Zero, respectively.

Kadoya casually tosses a bone knife up and uses Shunkan Teishi, causing the bone knife to freeze, hovering mid-air.

He then used Rei no Ketsugō on the bone knife, and the bone knife moved back to before he threw it up, now hovering in the same position he once held it.

He then opens his system to see the changes happening to his body upon awakening the Mangekyou.

Sharingan Level 14 (11/15000)

Yang Attribute Level 9 (1200/4500)

Yin Attribute Level 11 (10/8000)

His Sharingan Level directly jumped to Kage-level, while his Yin Attribute directly jumped by two levels, causing an imbalance in his Yin and Yang Attributes.

This just proves his theory in the method of awakening the Eternal Mangekyou; the imbalance from using the Mangekyou, causing the user's Yin Attribute to increase rapidly, reaching the point of going blind.

Because their body or Yang Attribute wasn't able to keep up with this rapid increase, leading to blindness. And even illness, like Itachi's case, who awakened his Mangekyou at 11 and focused his entire stats on Genjutsu and Ninjutsu.

With his underdeveloped body and the massive imbalance of Yin Attribute and Yang Attribute. Has caused his body to develop an illness that was slowly killing him.

Which is why Kadoya makes sure to keep on training his body, along with increasing his Yang Attribute to avoid getting the same illness Itachi had.

"Kid, what is your ability?" Naori asks, still worried for Kadoya's mental health, the kid awakens the Mangekyou after putting himself under a genjutsu. Then he nearly laughed himself to death.

If he actually dies, she really doesn't know how to feel at that point.

Plus, if she could understand his ability, then if he somehow went out of control, she could find a way to stop him.

"Shunkan Teishi and Rei no Ketsugō." He answered and did not elaborate further.

Naori: "..."

Clearly, with just those names, she couldn't get any information about his ocular power. Like how if Kakashi just says my pupil technique is called "Kamui", you won't understand its ability if you don't already know about it.

Naori now looked visibly annoyed at Kadoya, really, she was trying to help him. Couldn't he be anymore less annoying!?

...

Kadoya rested for a few more days before heading back to the battlefield; it couldn't be helped.

His friends and teammates are still there. If he were late, then maybe the idiot Nawaki would actually step on an Explosive Tag and get himself killed.

Who knows how many explosive tags that idiots have stepped on since the moment they set foot on the battlefield?

As Kadoya moved, his instinct flared up, causing him to pause on his track.

His hands quickly blurred through seals.

"Leaf Style: Verdant Execution Field!"

From within the surrounding flora, there was a moment of silence before the organic life within the area erupted with his chakra.

In a synchronized burst, the surrounding plants closed toward the hidden Root shinobi, erupting into razor-sharp blades, slicing outward like a shrapnel bloom.

The hidden anti-ambush attack was so fast and swift, by the time many of the Root operatives realized it, long razor-sharp leaves had already pierced their body.

Blood dripped down from the surrounding trees, and Kadoya narrowed his gaze toward one of the Aburame Clanmen, using his clan training method and having his entire body be a bug nest, managed to survive the razor leaf blades that stabbed into him.

They locked eyes, and Kadoya's black eyes turned into his Sharingan before asking.

"Do you wish to dance?"

The Root operative quickly turned and ran, realizing Kadoya Uchiha was more dangerous than what Danzo had suspected. His previous Jutsu were either a new form of Kekkei Genkai or something similar.

He didn't know what that was, but Lord Danzo still needed to know about this first!

"Fire Style: Phoenix."

The Root operative tilted his head back, seeing a massive flaming bird rushing toward him, crashing into his body, and tearing him apart.

He tries to scatter his bugs, giving them a chance to escape and deliver this intel back to Root.

"Fire Style: Burn to Ash."

The flaming phoenix let out a loud screech, the flame on its body burst out and expanded, burning all the surrounding trees and life to nothing but charred ashes.

Kadoya then creates some Shadow Clones, letting them clean up the evidence here while he continues his journey back to the Amegakure battlefield.

Upon reaching their main camp, Tsunade looked at him with twitching eyes.

"I thought I told you to take Erza back to the village and directly come back to the battlefield, so why the hell did you have an entire makeover?" Tsunade roared in anger. Kadoya's clothing had completely changed since the last time she saw him.

He is now dressed in a dark red rope based on Indra's rope, with a black flame pattern around the hem. The emblem on his back is a combination of the Uchiha fan with the Uzumaki spiral circle around it, with three black tomoe around it, resembling the Sharingan.

His black hair is now tied up, identical to Indra Otsutsuki's. He even somehow found purple eye marking to paint around his eyes.

He looks like a completely different person now. The idiot Nawaki didn't even recognize him, and Minato had to do a double-take, if his instinct didn't tell him that this was his brother, Minato probably would have walked passed him without noticing.

Still, Minato said the black flame pattern looks cool, and he will borrow the design for later use.

"I find that my usual look is too noticeable to the enemy. Maybe a change would be better to attract a few more flies." Kadoya answered coolly.

Tsunade understood what the "flies" here meant, but she honestly couldn't say much about it. Kadoya's strength has reached a point that Tsunade could consider him Kage-level, seeing how he single-handedly destroyed an entire village.

Still, she is happy to see that he still somewhat listens to her, although not all the time, and is a bit annoying, he is still a good soldier who somewhat follows orders.

Tsunade was also happy upon noticing that her request to promote Kadoya to Jonin was approved by the Third Hokage, who was guarding the village. She shared enough information about Kadoya's record on the battlefield to get him that promotion.

"I see..." Her expression eased up. "Go and rest. Tomorrow, come over, I have a mission already planned for you." She said before dismissing him.

Kadoya smiled, pulling out from his rope a bowl of chicken soup, nicely packed up and still hot. "You worked hard, Sensei. Make sure to eat well and get some rest, too."

He said with a smile before leaving. Tsunade looked at the packed bowl with a gentle smile before letting out a silent complaint.

"You forgot the wine."
