For the first month of his new life, Isaac was pretty bored. Despite being in a new world he couldn't do much as an infant other than lay around and eat, he tried moving and had managed to stand up while holding onto something after a few weeks of practice, he also slowly understood more about the new world he had been thrown into.
Planet Acarus had been right at the cusp of being a tier 1 civilisation, medicine was able to heal a good portion of illnesses and a small colony was being planned to be put on the moon within the next decade all good things must end however and boy did it end badly. As a lunar expedition was digging into the surface of the moon to lay the beginnings of the foundations of the colony, the planet had entered the stage of transcendence. As the very planet itself became stronger, Mana was introduced to the planet, though humans adapted well with little reactions, the flora and fauna of the world did not.
Instead of them violently rising up however, the shift was gradual, and though the humans noted the rise of Mana with a few ancient sects sensing the awakening of the planets leylines, they were too busy trying to harness this new power instead of preparing. Once the planet had reached the halfway point, the Mana being supplied to the planet doubled in volume and drowned a full eighth of the human population, hundreds of millions died within the first week with half of those still alive beginning to manifest different abilities previously unavailable due to the lack of mana.
Nature however, did not suffer instead it thrived. As millions of humans died nature erupted with a ferocity, viciously reclaiming areas that had been destroyed by human development, with massive Beast Kings leading the charge. They swept across the globe as the world government desperately pushed back the tide, and so started the Beast Wars.

As she took Isaac to the small library they had Sister Amy looked down at the little boy, "What kind of book do you want me to read to you little one?" she asked and sighed as he once again pointed his small hands at a history book, "Very well, since you keep asking. she sat him down as she went over to get the book the brought it back. "As the world government fought the Beast wars, various humans who manifested powers also joined the fight and together they helped push back the tide-" she started as Isaac followed along, "Though the mass majority of beasts where weak, the Beast Kings still posed a challenge and after 20 years, humanity finally pushed them back, at the time a special Beat King came forth and displaying intelligence, brokered peace, that beast is known as the Monarch. It resides on the southern pole of the planet to this day, many years later."
Listening to all this Isaac was glad he asked for a strong regen ability since this planet was anything but peaceful. Looking at the picture in the book he noticed a woman that looked a lot like the Mother of the church. Curious he smacked at the page with his chubby hands, thankfully Sister Amy noticed. "Oh yes! Mother Iris was once an adventurer, in fact she was one of the strongest battle priests of her time, her and several others helped keep humanity safe." She told him clearly proud of the Mother as Isaac nodded in appreciation 'Not bad granny'
As Amy read more and more to him, Isaac started to wonder, why had the Monarch made peace with humanity? What happened to rest of the world? Was the government still around or did they collapse? He didn't get much time to ponder though as Amy finally got tired of ready history and took him back to his crib.
Despite how soft the blanket was, Isaac didn't like the crib or the nursery very much. "WAAH!" That was why, turns out he wasn't the only baby left outside the gate, a few others had also been left behind. This had been the worst part of his new life so far since he was constantly surrounded by crying babies, or full grown adults pampering him, his life was monotonous and very very very boring, but he looked forward to being older as about a week ago when Sister Frida had taken him outside on one of the rare sunny days, he saw several of the older kids being training by Mother Iris, he and Frida had watched for about an hour in the warm sunshine as Iris pushed the kids physical abilities before Frida took over and taught them magic.
As he was passed over to Iris she did a scan of his body with her magic, 'Hmm, a good strong body with more mana than average for his age, maybe a mage, or a paladin.' she thought as she watched Frida train the children on how to use their abilities as Sister Amy guided those who were more magically inclined, sigh 'I hope I've prepared them enough, this world will not be kind to those trodden upon by fate.' Mother Iris thought as she thought about the chaotic state of the world at the moment.
Despite the peace achieved by the Monarch and the remnants of the Federation, various Beast Kings still attacked human cities and stronghold forcing them to retaliate, despite the losses humanity still help on, mostly thanks to various gods that had descended from a higher world to help them. Giving their power to humans that fulfill certain criteria or just caught the attention of the right god gave certain humans, 'Apostle' status, as well as giving them a massive boost to most stats and abilities.
Iris herself had been offered many things by various gods, but she still stayed true to her faith, though there have been reports of figures in white robes and wings so maybe she would finally find something worth joining that would keep the children safe.
