Chapter 70 - Chapter 60 (Part 1): After so many attempts, it finally broke through~

Sigh, being young really is great.

"Um, Lady Yukong, Miss Serval, Miss Tingyun, would you please step aside for a moment?"

Yanqing said seriously.

"But I thought you were going to challenge Argenti?" Tingyun asked curiously.

"Uh… I couldn't find her at the moment," Yanqing answered a bit awkwardly.

Except when she was repairing the ship, Argenti's whereabouts were often unknown.

Probably off somewhere praising some potted plant again….....

---------------------------

Yanqing wasn't seeking a beating.

During the battle with Godzilla, he gradually came to understand— Human potential is limitless!

Ordinary people often need ten days to several months of recovery after being injured.

But he was different—blessed by the powers of the Xianzhou, he could regain combat ability in a short time.

Things like broken ribs, dislocated arms, or shattered meridians didn't even require waiting.

This gave him a cultivation method that ordinary people could only dream of:

Training through battle!

As long as he got hit enough, eventually, no one's attacks would catch up to him!

As long as he maxed out his recovery, no one could stop him from practicing swordsmanship!

Most crucially, battling Godzilla wasn't a contest between swordsmen.

Losing would certainly be discouraging, but as long as he hadn't been defeated in the field he excelled at, there was still hope!

"This must be why the general brought Yanqing along,"

Looking at Yanqing—whose aura had become sharper and deeper than when he first arrived—Yukong sighed with emotion.

The legendary helmswoman's insight was not to be underestimated.

After seeing Yanqing a few times, she had already discerned his problem:

Too young. Too smooth-sailing. Too strong.

While his peers were still reciting poetry and training in martial arts, Yanqing had already made great achievements.

One glorious achievement after another made his confidence swell rapidly, dangerously close to arrogance.

The reason it hadn't shown outwardly?

Ha—most people never even got a chance to see Yanqing.

Those who did were usually those far ahead of him in rank or skill.

Combined with Jing Yuan's teachings, Yanqing understood etiquette deeply.

If someone else had mentored him—someone who didn't emphasize humility—then given all he'd accomplished at such a young age, his ego would've already soared to the skies.

"Yanqing is really lucky. Achieving success so young, and with the general helping to chart the path ahead... Sigh, not like me, doomed to a life of hard labor~"

Hearing the deliberately drawn-out tone beside her, Yukong smiled helplessly.

"You... If only you could focus more. If you truly worked hard, things wouldn't be this way."

"Is Lady Yukong saying I'm not working hard?" Tingyun blinked her eyes with a look of grievance, staring pitifully at Yukong. The triangular ears on her head twitched, her fluffy tail drooped, and she looked every bit the image of dejection.

Thunk! Yukong flicked Tingyun's forehead with a finger, annoyed.

"If you'd just let me worry less, that'd be more than enough."

...

Godzilla sat up, its towering presence dominating the area.

Even just sitting up exerted an almost tangible pressure on everyone present.

As the challenger, Yanqing felt this most keenly.

Since being crowned the strongest of his generation, he rarely faced opponents—spending most of his time in rigorous solo training.

He had always wanted a match with the general, to receive his guidance, but the general was so lazy that outside of cards and certain unavoidable affairs, he could rarely be moved.

Yanqing had come to believe he was unbeatable in the world—until recently, when that illusion was smashed to pieces in a single moment.

But he wasn't discouraged—in fact, he was more excited than ever!

Godzilla didn't even practice swordsmanship, yet he was this strong!

Such a rare and powerful training partner couldn't be found even in all of Luofu!

And so, with permission granted, Yanqing now came every few days to get a dose of reality.

Even the mountainside nearby had holes blasted through it from their battles.

"Here I come!"

With a loud shout, Yanqing launched a frontal assault—his sword no his five flying swords gifted by General Jing yuan orbiting his body.

Gripping one in his hand, he surged forward like a gale, clashing directly with Godzilla!

Clang!

A thick tail blocked his path.

Yanqing's sword struck it with a metallic ringing that numbed his wrist.

"Even harder now... If I want to cut through, I'll need more force."

Thoughts surged through Yanqing's mind.

Three hits a day, and he'd gradually figured out how Godzilla responded to different attacks.

But this strike was clearly different than before.

He was making progress—but Godzilla was advancing too, maybe even faster!

Realizing this, Yanqing twisted mid-air using his sword, aiming to attack from the side.

Godzilla, watching from above, tilted its head slightly at the sight.

This kid isn't charging blindly anymore.

But unfortunately, while the idea was good, brute strength still trumps skill.

Godzilla's massive tail moved with shocking speed, completely unfit for its size.

Just as Yanqing was about to break through, the tail swung.

Before Yanqing could react, Godzilla's fierce and dominant face filled his vision.

A sonic boom tore through the air, pressing down on Yanqing with immense force!

The pressure even made him lose control of his posture mid-air.

Boom!

That familiar impact echoed again, same location as always, dust flying everywhere.

Rumble!

A sudden explosion rang out.

Godzilla looked in that direction—the rising dust didn't obstruct its gaze.

"Huh?"

When it saw clearly, Godzilla's expression turned satisfied.

The other three people also looked over curiously.

When the dust finally cleared, they saw a huge hole through the middle of the mountain's side—straight through from one side to the other.

It was especially eye-catching, with even the stone walls appearing slightly melted.

"Roar~"

Godzilla let out a satisfied low growl. After so many attempts, it finally broke through.

....

"Still not here, still not here, still not here..."

Velite stared blankly at the sky, imagining the drifting clouds above were the spaceship coming to pick him up.

"Ding, ding, ding."

The constant clanging of metal rang in the air, sharply contrasting with Velite's dejected voice.

"Hey, I say, man, do you really have to be this meticulous with your ship? Even the most luxurious ship I've seen at the IPC wasn't as fancy as this one. With skills like yours, you could be making a fortune carving spaceships."

Velite grumbled weakly. He had to find something to do.

Argenti held a tool and meticulously carved every pattern on the One and Only.

"Beauty is the most unique thing in the world. Only by understanding beauty can one understand it. Since I'm unable to descend and promote pure beauty in the world, the moment One and Only streaks across the sky will highlight pure beauty—only beauty can match its quality."

"Alright, alright, I'll just sit here and watch you hammer metal."

Hearing Argenti's expected reply, Velite sighed.

Heaven above, why can't you grant me a spaceship and let me go home?

"Hm? What is it?" Just as he was brooding, Velite noticed Argenti had stopped working and was looking up at the sky.

"What's there to see in the sky? Look down here and knock out some flight plates! We need those!"

"Boom!"

No sooner had he spoken than a dazzling light streaked across the sky, crashing into the One and Only and creating a large crater before rolling to a stop between them.

Velite blinked. Once he realized what happened, he quickly clasped his hands together and prayed to the heavens.

"Please, please, oh mighty beings from all realms, whoever you are, help me out and grant me a spaceship!"

He must not have prayed sincerely enough before, which is why the ship didn't land properly!

Getting up and shaking his head, Yanqing grimaced and clutched his wound.

Even if he healed fast, pain was still pain!

"Mr. Yanqing, what a marvelous encounter this is once again."

Before he could react, a flash of red and white swept past his eyes, followed by the familiar voice of admiration.

Instinctively looking around, with the vision honed from years of sword practice, Yanqing

immediately noticed the damage caused by his crash—right on someone's precious work.

"Um, sorry, Mr. Argenti, I didn't do it on purpose. I'll help you fix it!"

A good child should make amends when they do something wrong.

Yanqing had a bit of a temper, but he was kind-hearted.

"No need, Mr. Yanqing. This is proof of our encounter. It is part of beauty. When my eyes and hands pass over it, I will remember our meeting today. So let me ask you: do you acknowledge that Idrila's beauty is peerless and unmatched?"

"Idrila's beauty is peerless and unmatched?" Yanqing repeated the sentence with some doubt, but despite the doubt, he was sincere.

Argenti placed his left hand over the armor at his chest and looked down, touched by his own act of once again spreading the meaning of pure beauty.

Thankfully, Yanqing understood Argenti's devotion to Idrila.

In the universe, it wasn't strange to believe in anything—he even knew people who worshiped the swarm or insects who were followers of Propagation.

Argenti's belief might be in something that had never even appeared in the universe, something Yanqing hadn't heard of, but the sincerity of that belief was unmatched.

Feeling the pain in his body, Yanqing shook his head silently.

Originally, upon seeing Argenti, he had wanted to spar with him. But in his current condition, it was best to wait until he recovered.
