Cerillo stiffened all over. He yearned for her, his body unable to remain calm. Yet, when she actually took the initiative, he found that he didn't want her anymore. But why? Julissa took hold of his weakness. Her bright eyes were now reddened as she looked at him, calm and clear-headed.
She asked, "Not coming anymore?"
Cerillo's Adam's apple bobbed, his expression taut.
Julissa's voice choked, but soon she took a long, deep breath. She said, "While I can still be regarded as your wife, let's fulfill our marital duties. Come on."
Gripping his collar, she started moving towards the bed.
Cerillo's eyes reddened even more as he grabbed hold of her arm, his voice raspy with emotion. "What do you mean by that?"
Julissa looked at him, enunciating each word, "I always thought that our relationship can be salvaged. We just needed a little more time."
Cerillo's gaze was anchored on her, his eyes dark and inscrutable.
