Chapter 84 - 84

The next day, the twins flew excitedly to New Town early in the morning.

New Town was filled with neat, white quartzite buildings, and the rows of blue-tiled roofs were pleasing to the eye.

The flagstone roads were well-organized and straight, dividing New Town into blocks.

Following the address, the twins arrived at their shop—

The first and second floors were connected, with an area of four to five hundred square meters. This shop was perfect for opening a business; it was the dream of so many people!

And now, this shop was theirs!

The twins excitedly opened the door with the key, and the interior was almost completely decorated.

Wooden floors, a spiral staircase, bronze floral handrails, sparkling chandeliers, and rustic wall lamps—the twins couldn't have been more satisfied with this shop!

They ran up and down inside, discussing what to put here and what to change there.

Before they knew it, several hours had passed.

But they couldn't get enough of it.

Until someone knocked on the door.

Fred opened it and saw a wizard in formal attire standing outside.

"Hello, I am a servant of Count Dentis. Starting today, New Town will undergo a week-long magical array deployment. We've been instructed that all owners and merchants need to leave temporarily.

For the future safety of New Town, please cooperate with our work—we are not responsible for any casualties caused by failure to leave in time during the magical array deployment process."

The twins reluctantly glanced back at the shop and walked out cooperatively, locking the door.

Although they wouldn't be able to see their beloved shop for a whole week, they were still very excited.

They rode their brooms, chasing and laughing in the air, as if what they had told Ron had become reality—they already had a future.

Back at the Burrow, they saw a dazzling white carriage parked in front of their house from afar, with three servants tending to the winged horses pulling it.

Who was the important figure visiting their home?

Thinking this, the twins lowered their brooms and landed in the yard.

They saw Ron hiding under the windowsill, sneaking around as if eavesdropping on something.

Fred and George exchanged a grin and took out their wands—

A Transfiguration spell was in order!

The two potted plants on the windowsill turned into two large spiders—one jumped onto Ron's head and the other quietly crawled onto his back.

Ron shook his head and whispered,

"Is it Errol II? Stop it!"

Errol II was his new owl. Their old owl, Errol, was basically too old to fly, and the name Errol II was given by his dad. According to him, Ron's new pet might soon be in danger—because the Weasley family always needed a working owl.

But Ron insisted on letting Errol II perch on his messy red hair, hoping his dad might not separate him from his beloved little owl.

However, the familiar "coo" sound didn't come, but the sharp pricks on his head felt... scattered—this wasn't Errol II's claws, was it?

Ron reached up in confusion and felt a furry ball—soft and fluffy, he didn't know what it was.

Touching it again, he felt a long, hairy, slender leg.

"Ah—!"

Ron screamed and jumped up,

"Spiders!!"

As he jumped, the spider on his back took the opportunity to leap and slide down his collar.

Ron was even more panicked.

"Ahhh—Mum, Mum, help!"

Mrs. Weasley was talking to Count Dentis when she suddenly saw her youngest son jump up from the window, shouting for help.

"Excuse me, Your Excellency, I'll go take a look."

"Please."

Molly hurried out, and Arthur said somewhat awkwardly to the Count:

"I apologize for the spectacle, Your Excellency."

Count Dentis smiled slightly:

"Your son is very energetic. This is how young people should be!"

At that moment, Molly brought her sons in, fuming.

Ron walked ahead, his face pale, with Molly grabbing Fred's ear with her left hand and George's with her right. The twins obediently bent over to make it easier for her to pinch, but their smiles were as bright as the July sun.

Arthur quickly introduced:

"Your Excellency, these three are my sons."

The Count nodded:

"I can tell. The Weasley family's bloodline is very strong. I recognized them at a glance."

"You three, go upstairs now,"

Molly shouted, pointing at them.

"We're discussing important matters with Count Dentis!"

Count Dentis smiled and waved his hand,

"Mrs. Weasley, please don't be like that. What we're discussing today also relates to them, so why not let them sit down and listen together?"

Molly gave the boys a warning glance and sat back down.

The Count pointed to the twins:

"These two must be Fred and George. As expected, they're extraordinary."

Arthur asked curiously:

"Does Your Excellency know my sons?"

Count Dentis nodded:

"I'm now the owner of the Chudley Cannons." (Ron's pale face improved slightly upon hearing the key word.) "Dana Emrys is the team's star player for the next few decades.

Dana has told me about Fred and George, saying that they're very kind young men. Though still young, their Transfiguration and Alchemy skills are exceptional. They're clever and full of ideas. If they open a magical joke shop, they'll surely succeed.

So, I used Dana to gift them a twenty-year lease on a shop in New Town as a Christmas present, which is also my investment in these two young geniuses."

"What?" ×3

"That won't do. It's too valuable!"

Molly waved her hands repeatedly,

"Though I'm deeply grateful for your trust in them, Fred and George are still young. I'm afraid they won't live up to your expectations."

Hearing that, the twins looked clearly disappointed.

But the Count's next words brought their smiles back—

"I never take back what I give. I pride myself on my eye for talent. I've made several successful investments, and I believe Fred and George will succeed."

Molly wanted to protest, but the Count gently interrupted:

"Let's leave it at that. Mrs. Weasley, you can't restrain these two geniuses. I'm still counting on them to earn money for me."

He then turned to Arthur:

"New Town will soon be protected by a vast defensive magic array, and I'd like to include your home within its boundary."

Arthur stroked his chin:

"Wouldn't that be too much? Our home's some distance from New Town. Including us would raise the cost, wouldn't it?"

The Count shook his head:

"Costs will rise, yes—but I'll set up a key base point here. It will increase New Town's overall defense and make it much harder for enemies to crack the array.

Your home will benefit from New Town's protection for free, but in return, you'll need to maintain the base point. It's a win-win arrangement."

"Alright, Count,"

Arthur stood and extended his hand.

"I accept your proposal. Happy cooperation."

"Happy cooperation."

Molly smiled and asked:

"Your Excellency, would you care to stay for lunch?

—I've been practicing some new recipes recently, and they're quite good!"

The Count nodded:

"Thank you. I'd be honored."

Suddenly, the Count's expression shifted slightly. He pulled a two-way mirror from his pocket.

He excused himself, stepped outside, and opened the mirror.

"Your Excellency! We've collected all the evidence you requested!"

"All the evidence of those harmed by Obliviate spells?"

"Yes! We've sent these wizards to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries!"

"Good!"
