Derrick's POV
I saw a look that I rarely see on him. He didn't look angry or shocked, but it was something else, like disappointment—but it wasn't directed at me. That was the part I didn't understand.
His grip tightened on his bag, and he simply walked forward, stopping right in front of me.
"Hungry." My wolf stirred inside of me.
Hungry for Nathan. It wasn't food. He wanted Nathan just as much as I did, too. However, I couldn't have him when all he smelled like was another man.
"I am done, Alpha." He dropped his head.
He dropped his head so easily, like he was giving up. This wasn't the Nathan I knew. However, whatever is going on was not something I would love to get into now. I grabbed his wrist and led him upstairs to the hallway where my room was located. There were a few doors here, and one of them was my room, and the other two were left unused. I opened one of the doors.
