"Alright, rat," the man said, cracking his knuckles. "You may have pulled off some sort of miracle in the Red Maw, but this is real life. No regulators. No rules. And death is very real. You need to come out of your fantasies and behave accordingly."
He took Malakai's silence as a response and smiled coldly.
"Now, if you've gotten all that, let's start with your clothes. Take 'em off. Let's see some skin!"
The man burst into laughter, followed by the others around him, laughing and making jokes.
"Hm?"
The large man stopped laughing. He tilted his head, looking at Malakai with interest.
The boy hadn't done anything. He hadn't even moved an inch from his position. And from the cold look he was giving him, he could tell Malakai had no intention of listening.
The man sighed, silencing the others.
"Looks like what they say about him is true. Head's so far up in his ass, he thinks he's something."
He shook his head and turned away, waving his arm.
