"So can I come along with you?" It stood on my back giving me the opportunity to fall it off and give it a run, but as I attempted to I realized that no matter how I bent backwards or ran fast it would never fall off.
"I honestly don't need to hold on to you tightly not to fall." It said with a slight chuckled.
"His do you expect me to keep my promise to the grey head kid if I do not stay beside you always." it brushed my fur tenderly.
"What promise?" I asked. "Hey, quit that!" I ordered as it's hands on my back made me feel tickles.
"I'll never spill." It stubbornly replied.
"You.." I frowned deeply and decided to punish the little monkey by running as fast as I could but as I came to a half to breath in some fresh air I realized that the monkey still laid on my back and unharmed.
He wasn't even panting as hard as I was..
I fell back in defeat and the monkey got alert and jumped off before I could fall to the ground.
"The grey head kid told me how strong and brave you are." It said as he stared down at me.
I hissed and continued to lay there as I felt as though it was indirectly mocking me.
"I'm not mocking you," it must have guessed that to be my thought.
"I'm just tryna make you understand that you have got to keep pushing further no matter what.
"Are you headed back home?" It asked.
"Yes," I lazily stood up.
"But I'll meet with a friend of mine because heading back." I added and got fully bad up on my feet.
"You know, the grey head kid told me to tell you to watch your back and not to trust anyone." It decided to to climb on me and walked on its own still by my side.
"So, you need to know who exactly to befriend."
"I understand, monkey. Now can you please keep shut so I can think?" I said with a sharp eye at it.
"Okay, okay." It said and continued to tag along.
"Hmmm hm hmmmm hmm hmmm-"
It suddenly began humming to a song I hadn't heard before.
"Oh can you just keep shut?" I asked in fury.
It kept shut for some minutes and started again.
"That's it.." I immediately swang it off with a tail and it flew to a far distance due to the force.
"Hey.." it said and ran after me.
"Wait for me, black head wolf or white..."
It caught up to me and I threw a disdainful glance at it before it began it's never ending speech over and over and over again.
"Mira.." I suddenly heard the voice of Karl from a little distance away.
"My, I have been searching everywhere for you." He approached me but suddenly the monkey came in between us before he could even get to me.
"Don't come any close." It said.
As Karl stepped forward an arrow from nowhere suddenly flew at him, but thanks to his fast reflexes he was able to dorge it.
"Hey, quit it." I said to the monkey when I realized that the situation was becoming serious.
"His the friend I told you about."
But the monkey didn't listen.
It soon inputted a transparent sheid between us stopped Karl from getting any close to me and I fell in awe.
What exactly was this being?
And what was it called?
Definitely not a regular monkey and also not one of the mere mystical monkeys. So then what?
"Hey..monkey. He's not harmful okay. He's here to take me back to Cridwan." I tried to convince it.
"How sure can we be? He might be enemies with the grey head kid." it said.
"..."
I feel totally dumbstruck that I didn't know what to say.
"But I really need to go home and that's why he's here." I said after shallowing in my rage
"Fine." It finally obliged and Karl rushed to me.
"Are you hurt? What happened? Why are you with this little monkey?" He asked different questions at the same time.
"It's a really long story, let's just head back for now." I said and began to lead the way.
"With this monkey?" He asked and I realized that he monkey still kept following beside me.
"If it wants to.." I sighed as I was fed up.
"Yes.." The monkey suddenly jumped up in excited and I wondered what was so exciting being a being in this universe.
"You get happy for stupid things, don't you?" I said not asking the monkey exactly, but it just had to reply.
"Yes if course, I can't let people know my weakness." It replied and continued to follow beside me.
"We have to be quick as it'll soon be sunset." Karl said from behind.
"Says the slow walker." The monkey rolle it's eyes which made it look quite adorable.
But I knew that Karl detested it.
We soon got to the beginning of Cridwan and I could already feel the presence of some chaos and as we walked in that was exactly what greeted up.
"What is going on?" Karl asked a guard with an injured leg.
"They came at us, and killed many." He managed to reply.
"Who?" I and Karl asked simultaneously.
"Another pack, they came to distroy Cridwan and we believe it was planned out by the immortal." The guard managed to speak as he choked on his own saliva.
I knew within me that Liam would never cause such havoke despite his indifferent and sinister behavior.
"But….Alden managed to scare them off." The said his last words and fell with a thud to the ground.
Alden?
The least person I thought would ever help the pack..
The second son of the general, not from the past Luna but from one of his mistresses who desired the title so badly.
"He's deed." Karl said after checking.
I glanced at the monkey and it seemed to be deep in thoughts as it scanned the area.
"What do you see..?" The words fell off my mouth.
I just felt like it could know something as the monkey seemed to be very smart.
"This seems to be a set up." Exactly what I thought.
It continued, "because, what were the guards doing before the attack? And why would a single man be able to scare off a full park of wolves?"
Everything it said made sense and I also began to demand answers.
"K Karl, you are here finally. The alpha Alden would like to see you." Alden's trustee right hand man approached us with his eyes fixed on me then over to Karl.
"Okay, I'll head to see him now." Karl left and the alpha Alden's trustee turned to me with a knowing smile, then he turned around and left instantly and that instantly made me realize that something was indeed fishy.
It was either that the alpha Alden was up to something or his trustee is the traitor of the Cridwan Pack as it's people were now on destress.
I was beginning to regret not putting it up to myself to convince Liam, but I also knew that I had tried my best and the chaos was just meant to happen.
