After several long minutes, Elowen finally broke the silence.
"We should get cleaned up," she said.
"Yeah," he agreed, sitting upright.
"How about a shower?"
"Sure," he said, his voice still a little shaky.
"Want to join me?"
"Hell yeah," he laughed.
"Okay."
She climbed off him, standing shakily.
"Come on," she urged, her hand reaching out for his.
"Let's get moving."
"Alright."
The two walked slowly toward the bathroom, their arms linked, their bodies pressed close.
As they stepped through the doorway, a loud ringing sound suddenly erupted from the main room.
"What the hell?" Elowen exclaimed.
"Who's calling now?" Ethan grumbled.
"No idea," she muttered, glancing at her holo phone.
"Huh, it's your mother."
"Seriously? Damn."
"Want to talk to her?"
"Hmm? Let me what if it is important," he said as he took over the holo phone and then answered the call.
"Hi Mom."
"Ethan, my dear. I'm glad I caught you. I wanted to check in and make sure everything was alright."
