Chapter 14 - INTO THE DEVIL'S DEN

Luca was ready for sleep all prepared in his pajamas just waiting for the moment to hit the pillow but he was thinking about his earlier experiences "it was a bad dream maybe, I wouldn't even dream it" he shrugged it off with a dry laugh he can't believe he was even scared to sleep on his bed, because he couldn't simply believe what was real or not.

Not wanting to dwell on it he decided fuck it all and laid on his bed, when his head hit the soft pillow he expected the familiar embrace of sleep to take him, expecting himself to drift into dreams like he always did. But instead the world around him seemed to shift, the edges of reality blurring until he felt that same unsettling yet oddly comforting warmth beneath him. His eyes immediately fluttered open and sure enough just as before he found himself sprawled across something firm, warm and undeniably alive. No..not something. Someone.

A slow smirk curled onto Lucien's lips as he peered down at him "Took you long enough" he murmured, his voice rich and velvety laced with something both teasing and dangerous "I was beginning to think you wouldn't return"

Luca blinked, utterly baffled, his mind scrambling for explanation, why was he here again?, why did it feel like slipping into this place was as natural as breathing? He groaned quickly trying to scramble up from where he was sat comfortably till now only to land on the ground with his ass "ouch" he groaned more.

"You seemed comfortable quite here" Lucien spoke his golden-red eyes glowing like embers in the dim atmosphere around them. Luca scowled rubbing his temple "I wouldn't exactly call waking up on your lap comfortable" he muttered while looking around. "Why do I keep ending up here, what's this place?"

Lucien chuckled, the sound deep and smooth like silk sliding over steel "all due time, Luca. Now let me show you around" his voice was annoyingly nonchalant as he stood offering a hand to pull Luca up. Luca accepted his hand and the moment their fingers brushed, a strange, electric sensation raced up to Lucas's arm. It was subtle but impossible to ignore. Lucien's smirk deepened.

"Welcome to hell" Lucien spoke as Luca finally took a good look at whatever this was. He expected Hell to be- well hellish. Fire, screaming souls, eternal torment. But the place Lucien guided him through was breathtakingly surreal.

The sky was a swirling mist of deep crimson and rich violet, speckled with golden embers floating lazily like fireflies. The ground beneath them wasn't scorched earth but smooth black stone that shimmered faintly, reflecting the eerie glow of the surroundings. Rivers of what looked like liquid gold ran through the landscape, bubbling softly as if whispering secrets and finally the obsidian structures that loomed in the distance stretching towards the sky.

Luca was mesmerized, he couldn't help but drink it all in, completely in awe of the beauty that shouldn't exist in a place called Hell.

"I..." he opened his mouth struggling for words "this is ... nothing like I imagined" Lucien hummed in amusement "you humans have such dramatic depictions of my domain. Fire, pain and eternal suffering....." he gestured around them lazily "but you see, Hell is what we choose it to be and I prefer my home to have a little charm" Luca swallowed hard, he was starting to wonder just what kind of being Lucien truly was.

"If this is hell, then you're a....." he was trying to find the correct word not to sound offensive but Lucien helped him out of his dilemma "Devil" Luca took another good look at him, this man was handsome as hell but....where are his horns if he was a demon, didn't demons look murderous ugly and so on, before he could question further, a sharp whistle cut through the air.

"Lucien! You finally brought him huh?" Luca turned towards the voice and nearly stumbled backwards as three new figures approached. One was dressed In an impossibly stylish ensemble, dark purple and black with intricate silver embroidery he was practically glowing with excitement "Asmodeus Silvano", another one was casually against a stone pillar, arms crossed, golden rings glinting on his fingers. Hair was deep red, messy yet effortlessly cool "call me Ignis Vox" he introduced checking his finger nails sassily and finally the third one, the most composed of the three. He adjusted the cuffs of his pristine dark suit, his raven black hair was slicked back and his silver eyes calculating and cold swept over Luca with a mild amusement "Dorian Aziel little lamb" he smirked "and yet already wandered into the wolf's den twice" he added.

"He totally looks like a lost lamb" it was Ignis this time watching Luca with his predatory eyes "oh look at him, how adorable" Asmodeus chimed in. Luca took a step back feeling very much like a prey. Lucien chuckled, placing a reassuring yet firm hand on Luca's shoulders "now now, don't scare him too much. He's still adjusting" Asmodeus literally purred "oh...we wouldn't dare" he flicked his fingers and suddenly shimmering illusions surrounded Luca, bright roses blooming in mid air before transforming into eerie glowing skulls. Luca yelped stumbling back only for Ignis to snap his fingers causing the flames to dance around him in intricate patterns "relax, it's just a little fun" Ignis said with a chuckle. Dorian only smirked watching Luca's wide eyes "fascinating. He's not running"

Luca, still stunned, found himself entirely captivated rather than scared, the display of power was beautiful, the magic swirling through the air like art itself. He tried to find words but nothing seemed to fit.

Lucien watched him with an unreadable expression before suddenly tilting his head. Luca snapped out of his daze blinking "Lucien - seriously tell me. Why do I keep coming back here?"

Lucien simply smiled.

And it wasn't just any smile. It was bright, almost blinding. It made Luca's heart stutter in his chest "that" Lucien murmured reaching out to bop Luca's nose with a single finger "is for you to figure out" Luca barely had time to process his words before everything faded to black.
