Aurora hearing Hyacinth's suggestion remembers information that Hyacinth from the novel usually goes to bars to sing. Even though it seems unnecessary.
Then it is revealed later in the story that the reason she decided to do this was because she loves music to forget Rose Sallow.
She puts all her attention into music and alcohol and omegas.
She doesn't get how Hyacinth was devastated when Rose left her, she even made a band just to forget about Rose for a moment and went night stand occasionally.
Aurora can't relate, that's why when she was reading that part she only felt cringe.
Seeing Hyacinth she didn't change much from how she was in the novel, no matter how much Aurora tried to push something else further to make the storyline not make that end meet. It somehow happened behind her back.
Like how Hyacinth suddenly kissed someone other than Rose, like how Hyacinth was still stupid when it came to love. But she has self awareness now, unlike in the original novel where it literally took chapters before her braincells came back.
She even lost hair because of her stupidity while reading Hyacinth just making stupid decisions. When Aurora realized her emotional intelligence seems lacking, she read these types of novels to know how to control her anger. Somehow it works.
Don't try it though it will cost you braincells in the process.
Now hearing Hyacinth was about to make a band in their circle she couldn't help but click her tongue.
She readily agreed since she can't change the storyline and the main character. I'll just stand by and watch.
After all she doesn't have a hero complex it's not like this novel was in the war time era. This world just has fluffy stuff besides those toxic characters. The only thing she needed to do was have enough money to defend herself.
When Hyacinth said that the two immediately agreed after all they have their own talents to enter the band.
And they wanted to try this kind of thing so when Hyacinth saw her friends agree she immediately dragged them backstage. "Ha?" the two of them were stunned.
Hyacinth grinned and patted Sora's head and then Soren's. "Don't worry." She was about to pat Aurora's head too, but the latter avoided it.
"??"
The three of them were dumbfounded.
Don't worry my ass!
You only invited us to join your band but we didn't expect to be thrown on stage right away we're still unprepared.
The three of them looked like the world had ended. They stared at Hyacinth, who was happily preparing for what could be the worst stage band ever.
Sora imagined herself getting embarrassed and insulted by harsh criticism and couldn't help but shiver at the thought. They better start when the audience is already drunk, or it might ruin their reputation.
Hyacinth, seeing them like this, couldn't help but chuckle. The three of them glared at her.
Then Hyacinth picked up a piece of sheet music from somewhere, and Sora, who stood in the middle, reluctantly took it and showed it to the other two. All three of them already knew they were doomed, but when they looked at the sheet music, they couldn't help but read it.
"How did you get this sheet music! You're a genius, Hyacinth," Sora couldn't help but praise. This song was popular last year. It came from a band that was well known, but that was their final song. A lot of people were sad when it ended.
That music was hard to replicate. But these sheet music arrangements make it much easier. The composition is simple yet precious—something even an advanced beginner could handle.
The vocals, however, were the most difficult part to reproduce, because the official singer's voice was incredibly impressive. Their vocal performance was on such a high level that most people either couldn't imitate it or were criticized for trying to copy it.
And that's when you know how good the music really is.
But for Aurora, seeing the note sheet darkened her expression—but she quickly masked it.
Hyacinth, seeing their agreed expression, smiled in satisfaction. She handed over clothes to Sora and made way for her to change in the omega bathroom, while the three stayed behind.
Aurora couldn't help but feel complicated. Remembering that females here could have swords, she quickly left the two and headed toward a specific bathroom for betas.
Well, technically, female betas could still go to the omega bathroom, so she went there herself.
Sora was already inside one of the cubicles. Aurora went ahead into an empty stall and began changing. The clothes weren't that flashy—they were just changing early because they would sweat once they got on stage.
And that heavily favored Aurora—these days, she sweated a lot more easily. Which sucked. She didn't know the reason, but she had started showering three times a day—that's how gross she had been feeling these past few days.
"Aurora?" Sora asked from another stall, one apart between them.
"Yes?" she responded.
