"Hello, Aunt Allen." Kevin greeted her and felt a bit flustered.
"Kevin, you're here! When did you arrive? Come and sit down." Evelyn said warmly, her eyes lighting up as she saw him. "Help yourself to a drink. Make yourself at home. I'll just put these in the kitchen." She walked into the kitchen, swaying her hips, without even saving a word to her son.
"Hey, why is my mom so nice to you?" Mike said looking annoyed. "It's like you're her real son."
Kevin felt a bit embarrassed. He knew why Mike's mother was so warm towards him, but he couldn't explain it to his friend.
It all started last semester, shortly after Kevin and Mike became friends. One weekend, they went to play basketball and got all sweaty. They decided to shower at Mike's house. Mike finished first and went to play video games, then told Kevin to hurry up and join him.
