The girl took it hurriedly, her voice flustered. "Emperor, I didn't know you were here."
"I'm substituting for the class today. You can just call me 'teacher.' What else would you call me?"
Uchiha Shin didn't display his usual domineering aura. That kind of attitude was reserved for enemies and strangers. In front of a lovely girl, he preferred to act like a gentleman.
Seeing the elegant and composed Uchiha Shin, the girl's face flushed instantly. It was an honor to have the most powerful man in the Fire Country address her so kindly.
"Ah—Your Majesty, my name is Yakushi Nono. I'm the homeroom teacher of this class. I just learned that Teacher Mikoto has taken a leave of absence, so I came to inform her."
Her voice was soft, her face tinged with a rosy hue. She peeked at Uchiha Shin with her delicate eyes, stealing glances at the man she had only seen in books and historical accounts. He wasn't the cold and distant ruler she had imagined—he was charming, refined, and approachable.
The realization made her heart race.
Hearing the name 'Yakushi Nono,' Uchiha Shin recalled her history. If things had gone differently, she would have been consumed by Root, forced into a world of espionage under Danzo. She wasn't suited for that kind of life. Her kindness would have been her downfall, used and discarded like many before her.
Yet here she was, a teacher at the Academy. A curious twist of fate.
"Nice to meet you, Nono-sensei," Uchiha Shin said smoothly. "I'll handle the class for now. Later, I'll also teach the students usually taught by Kushina and Kanako."
Yakushi Nono nodded quickly. "Oh, so that's how it is. I didn't expect someone of your status to have such an interest. You truly care for the people."
Her admiration was clear. Uchiha Shin nearly laughed.

He gave her a wink. Nono didn't quite understand his intention but felt honored to be acknowledged by him.
As she turned to leave, Uchiha Shin let his gaze linger on her retreating figure. The curve of her pear-shaped frame beneath her teacher's uniform… exquisite. He appreciated women like Mikoto and the others, but they didn't exude the same teacherly allure that Nono did.
The image of an intellectual yet sensual woman in authority… it fit right into his preferences.
And that naive, innocent demeanor? It made him even more eager.
If he didn't have a class to substitute for, he might have already lured her into a more… personal lesson.

Pushing these thoughts aside, he focused back on the present. In front of him, a trio of bright-eyed little girls stared at him eagerly.
"Well, I should call you Teacher Shin now, right?" Nohara Rin asked excitedly.
Uchiha Shin raised an eyebrow before nodding. It would be ridiculous to have a child refer to him as 'Emperor' in class.
Honestly, looking back, his younger self had really gone through a cringe-worthy phase.
The three girls almost jumped in excitement. They hadn't expected Uchiha Shin himself to be their temporary teacher.
Teacher Mikoto, please take a long leave!
Uchiha Shin smirked slightly. With his refined sensory abilities, he could perceive the weak bioelectrical signals generated by thoughts. Their little prayers were practically broadcasted to him.
How long Mikoto stays in bed depends on how ruthless I was last night.
Suppressing a chuckle, Uchiha Shin clapped his hands. "Alright, I'll be teaching today. You can ask me anything. But first, let's head outside. On the way, tell me what Mikoto has been teaching you."

The three girls practically latched onto him, their small hands gripping his sleeves as they walked toward the forest near the Academy. This place was large, designed for ninja training. A vast space was necessary.
They arrived at a quiet clearing near a stream. At first, the girls asked questions about ninjutsu and strategy. But soon, the conversation took a different turn.
They wanted to know about his battle against the Nine-Tails.
His favorite foods.
What kind of girls he liked…
When the discussion shifted to topics that girls were most curious about, they wouldn't stop talking.
Uchiha Shin felt dizzy. "How old are you, and why are you all so precocious?!"
And then, Uchiha Izumi took it too far.
"Shin-sama, what postures do you use with Mikoto?"
Uchiha Shin nearly choked on air.
Izumi, why are you asking this?!
And you're justifying it by saying you want to prepare for the future, so you can match my preferences?!
His mind was full of exasperated complaints. Damn that Shinji for telling Izumi about these things. His respectable teacher image was on the verge of being destroyed, replaced by that of a depraved lolicon.
Fortunately—or unfortunately—Izumi, Rin, and Shizune all seemed to like this image of him.

A claim, of sorts.
Now they were his.
His students, his people.
His possessions.
He smirked. "Alright, you brats, let's see how much you can handle."
