"Pick up the bamboo pole first," Chu Xi gestured with her chin to Chu Wei.
Chu Wei looked puzzled, but obediently picked up the bamboo pole.
Chu Xi lifted the bamboo pole and placed it on top of the one Chu Wei was holding up, then began to explain leisurely:
"See, we have four people, right? We just place these two bamboo poles like this, make it look like a cross, and then tie the straw at the crossing point. We four each carry one end of the bamboo pole, that way it's easier, isn't it?"
Chu Wei, hearing this, was utterly confused. She simulated the steps in her mind and couldn't help but show a doubtful expression. This complicated method, can it really work?
But thinking about how she wouldn't have to carry the bamboo pole alone, Chu Wei was tempted. Four people carrying it together would certainly be less laborious than doing it alone, right?
"Alright, let's team up," Chu Wei eventually agreed.
