Fu Zhen stared at him for a moment and sighed, "Forget it, you're drunk. We'll talk when you wake up tomorrow."
"I'm not drunk!"
Pei Zhan sat up straight and wiped his face with his hand.
Then, glancing at Fu Zhen, he called out into the room, "Shopkeeper! Two bowls of tofu pudding, please!"
After speaking, he took away the wine cup from Fu Zhen's hand and moved all the jars, bottles, and cups on the table down to the ground.
When the tofu pudding arrived, he pushed a bowl towards Fu Zhen.
The thick layer of crushed walnuts on top indeed looked more enticing than the wine.
"I just drank a couple of cups because I was bored waiting. This amount of wine is nothing to me. I can handle several pounds at a meal, although I rarely drink."
Pei Zhan placed both hands on his knees and sat up straight: "Rest assured, I'm definitely not a drunkard and have never messed things up because of alcohol."
Fu Zhen nodded after he went through this whole series of actions. "That's good."
