"I can go in myself," I told Rania as we stopped at my door. "Thank you… for taking such good care of me."
"You don't have to thank me," she said softly, placing her hand gently on mine. "You're my brother's heart. I'll always care for you, whether you're sick or not."
I gave a small smile, trying not to blush. She meant it. I could feel the warmth in her voice. I truly appreciated it. But something else tugged at me. I couldn't shake off the feeling that Sabrina didn't like me. There was something about her tone, something cold.
"Is she… Prince Elvin's mother?" I asked.
"Yes. That's my aunt, Sabrina," Rania replied, turning toward where Sabrina stood, deep in conversation with Rosalind. "I'm surprised she's talking to Rosalind. Those two don't usually get along."
"I wouldn't blame her. Rosalind seems harder to deal with than you," I said. "You're really different."
