Sienna's POV
The white light faded. I opened my eyes to find myself floating in a space between worlds. The ground beneath me was gone. The sky above me was not a sky at all, but a swirling mix of stars and blackness.
"Where am I?" I called out. My voice echoed strangely, as if I was in a big empty room.
My brother Zeke floated beside me, his body shining with that strange purple light. He wasn't dead after all. But he wasn't fully alive either.
"We're in the Void," he whispered. "The space between all worlds."
I reached for his hand, feeling the weak beat in his wrist. "How do you know that?"
"Because I've been here before." His eyes met mine. "The Midnight Queen showed me."
My heart skipped a beat. The Queen had tricked us all, and now she was gone. But gone where?
Suddenly, the space around us changed. The stars began to move, making shapes and patterns that seemed almost alive. And then I saw them – Kieran, Ronan, and Caius, each suspended in their own pocket of stars.
