Chapter 60 - CH 60

Moria was stunned.

He had just launched his attack, but his shadow hadn't touched anything. There was no blood in the sky.

"Ah! That scared me to death!"

Regrouping into a cloud, the reformed Nami looked down at the shocked Moria.

"So you don't even know how to use Armament Haki? Then how… how are you supposed to fight me?"

"Who says I can't?!"

Moria hesitated as soon as he said that. No… he had forgotten.

How many years had it been since he last practiced Haki?

The main problem was…

"His Haki would have to be at a masterful level to coat his shadow in Armament and attack… and that's way too difficult for him."

So, the current situation was that Moria's shadow attacks couldn't even touch Nami.

Meanwhile, Nami followed Bai Yu's instructions perfectly—she wouldn't engage in close combat and instead attacked from a safe distance in the sky.

"Arghhh! Damn Logia users! Damn Pluton Rayleigh!"

Thinking about Rayleigh made Moria furious… and scared.

That old man had wiped out all the shadows Moria had collected over the years.

Moria still couldn't understand why Rayleigh had come after him in the first place.

Without all those shadows, he couldn't use his ultimate technique, Shadow Asgard, much less fight Nami properly.

Completely at a disadvantage, he could only take a beating.

Realizing this, Moria turned around and tried to flee.

"Just you wait! You're dead!"

He wasn't sure if Perona's abilities could affect a Logia user, but at the very least, he could ask his subordinates for help.

"Too late!"

"Why do you think I've been wasting my breath talking to you?"

Nami floated in the sky, and the thunderclouds above had been stacking layer by layer, draining most of her stamina.

"Stalling for time!"

"One move to finish you!"

Ssssshhh!

Moria looked up again, only to see the already dark sky completely covered in crackling lightning. His scalp tingled.

"Not good!"

"Shadow Warrior!"

Moria and his shadow swapped places.

Nami blinked in surprise—Moria, who had been on the ground, suddenly appeared in the sky and threw a punch at her.

His Shadow Warrior ability allowed him to switch positions with his shadow. The shadow that had flown into the sky earlier hadn't returned yet, giving him a rare opportunity to strike.

However…

Nami instantly turned into a cloud, dispersing into the air. Only her crisp voice remained.

"Heavenly Thousand Thunderbolts!"

The thunderclouds roared.

Countless lightning bolts rained down.

"ARGHHHHH!"

As if he had fallen into a sea of lightning, Moria screamed as electricity coursed through his body. He plummeted from the sky.

Boom!

Moria crashed to the ground.

The lightning continued to pour down, illuminating the entire Thriller Bark like a giant storm lantern.

Inside the Castle

Hogback trembled.

The castle walls shook with Moria's screams, but he didn't even have the courage to step outside.

"M-Moria-sama…"

In the distance, Bai Yu stood watching, holding a half-conscious Perona in his arms.

Perona, awakened by the thunder, barely had time to process what was happening before her eyes widened in horror.

"Moria-sama…!"

Seeing her master writhing in agony under the relentless lightning, she panicked.

"STOP IT! PLEASE STOP!"

She screamed.

"Whoever you are, please stop hurting Moria-sama!"

She wasn't born here.

She had no home to return to.

Moria had raised her, and she couldn't accept watching him suffer like this.

"Shut up."

Smack!

Bai Yu knocked her out again.

Then, taking out a video Den Den Mushi, he snapped a few pictures from a distance, capturing the moment of Nami's battle for posterity.

Finally, the thunderclouds began to dissipate.

Moria lay convulsing on the ground, his body charred and steaming.

Nami floated down, her excitement evident.

"Did you see that?! I beat a Warlord of the Sea! I didn't expect to be this strong!"

"…Yeah, I didn't expect it either."

Bai Yu was speechless.

Moria hadn't even been able to use his strongest techniques—Shadow Asgard and Oars the Demon Giant—before being utterly defeated.

Moria had no counterplay against Nami, who remained safely in the sky. His loss was inevitable.

"Nami, you did well."

Bai Yu complimented her, then added seriously:

"Your thundercloud attack isn't weak, but against true powerhouses, it won't be effective. And… summoning so many thunderclouds exhausted you way too quickly. Your stamina is terrible."

Nami pouted.

"It wasn't just one cloud! I stacked multiple ones!"

Bai Yu narrowed his eyes slightly.

Immediately, Nami stuck out her tongue, making a playful face.

"Still… Moria isn't finished yet. He once challenged Kaido, after all."

Before Nami could respond, Bai Yu led her toward the ruins.

"Shadow Box!"

The moment Bai Yu stepped onto the battlefield, dozens of shadow bats erupted toward him.

But—

Whoosh!

Bai Yu and Nami disappeared.

The shadow bats missed their mark and continued flying forward in vain.

"Shadow Warrior!"

Moria, who had been lying on the ground, suddenly swapped positions with his shadow again, appearing a distance away, kneeling and coughing up blood.

When he finally looked up, his bloodshot eyes widened.

"It's YOU?! I should have known! That woman… she's one of your crewmates!"

"Damn it…!"

Moria clenched his fists.

"Why?! Why are you targeting me?!"

He wasn't willing to accept this.

First, he had been slashed by Rayleigh.

Now, before he could even recover, he was being electrocuted half to death.

What had he done to deserve this?!

"Why?"

Bai Yu scoffed.

"You, the so-called former 'Hero of West Blue,' don't understand such a simple truth?"

"This is the world of the strong."

"Weakness is a sin."

"And you… are too weak."

Bai Yu glanced at Moria in disappointment.

Over the years, the only thing that had grown on Moria was his belly fat.

Later on the Ship

Returning to the ship with the crew, Bai Yu took out Crocodile's Den Den Mushi and dialed a number.

Sengoku's voice came through.

"Speak! I don't have time for your nonsense!"

Bai Yu casually took a sip of juice, then said nonchalantly:

"Nothing much. Just letting you know—I took down Moria. Thought it might make you happy. Oh, by the way, could you send me the locations of the other Warlords?"

"ARE YOU MOCKING ME?!"

Sengoku's furious voice erupted from the receiver.

"You arrogant brat!"

Suddenly, another voice cut in.

"Pfft-haha! That's hilarious, Sengoku. Just give the kid what he wants."

Bai Yu raised an eyebrow.

"Garp?"

Then he smirked.

"By the way, Garp, do you know if your grandson is still alive?"

"YOU LITTLE BRAT! DON'T MAKE ME THROW YOU INTO IMPEL DOWN MYSELF!"

Bai Yu chuckled.

Satisfied with his work, he hung up the call.
