Chapter 138 - Chapter 138: White Phosphorus Bombs

As soon as the words were spoken, Xu Zhengyang felt a wave of relief wash over him.

Without wasting any time, he quickly took control of the T-800 combat robots to retrieve the psychic obelisk.

Half an hour later, Xu Zhengyang successfully stored the cosmic artifact, the psychic obelisk, into his Dimensional Space Pocket.

He then continued to command his T-800 combat robots to clean up the battlefield, collecting the damaged parts to be melted down and reforged back at the shelter.

Just then, a fully armed squad of soldiers, each wearing a "New White City" armband on their left arm, suddenly burst into the cave where Xu Zhengyang was.

"..."

They had come with a resolve to face certain death. But when they saw the cave filled with smoke, the Blood Plague nest completely destroyed, and only a few dozen robots cleaning up the battlefield, the soldiers were left bewildered, exchanging confused glances.

...

Xu Zhengyang, noticing the soldiers from the New White City survivor camp behind him, felt a pang of regret. "I forgot to have the drones monitor the cave entrance," he thought to himself.

But since he had already been discovered, Xu Zhengyang didn't bother with the soldiers and continued to command his T-800 combat robots to clean up the battlefield.

Seeing that Xu Zhengyang had no intention of attacking them, the soldiers conferred briefly. Then, a soldier with a single bar and one star on his shoulder insignia looked around and approached Xu Zhengyang, who was wearing a portable combat suit.

"Hello, my name is Zhou Zheng, and I'm the captain of the special operations team from the New White City survivor camp. May I ask... are you from the shelter in the northern suburbs?" Zhou Zheng inquired.

According to the original plan, Zhou Zheng was supposed to lead a team to eradicate this Blood Plague nest at 10 AM the next day. However, after learning from Ran Xiaoyue that Xu Zhengyang had already taken the initiative to attack, the leadership of New White City quickly convened a meeting. Soon after, Zhou Zheng received orders to lead his team ahead of schedule to provide support.

Despite Zhou Zheng's swift response, Xu Zhengyang had been even faster.

Xu Zhengyang glanced at Zhou Zheng and nodded, "Yes."

Zhou Zheng's expression showed that he had expected as much. He then looked curiously at the robots cleaning the battlefield and asked, "Are these robots also from your shelter?"

"Mm," Xu Zhengyang nodded again.

Zhou Zheng had been an officer before the apocalypse. Because of this, he had seen many mechanized units, so he asked Xu Zhengyang with curiosity, "I see you're alone here. How do you operate these robots? Do they have preset tactical movements in their systems, and you can control them with voice commands?"

"..."

Faced with Zhou Zheng's question, Xu Zhengyang paused for a moment before replying, "Classified."

"Ah..." Zhou Zheng chuckled awkwardly, then extended his right hand to Xu Zhengyang, "By the way, what should I call you?"

Xu Zhengyang shook Zhou Zheng's hand, "Xu Zhengyang."

Zhou Zheng's eyes gleamed with desire as he looked at Xu Zhengyang's T-800 combat robots. If he could get his hands on some, they could be sent ahead during dangerous missions, reducing soldier casualties.

After a moment of thought, Zhou Zheng said to Xu Zhengyang, "Mr. Xu, hello. Do you have any extra combat robots in your shelter? Would you be interested in exchanging resources with us? The New White City survivor camp was an official shelter built before the apocalypse. Because of this, we have an abundance of weapons, equipment, and supplies. For example, we have white phosphorus bombs, which are particularly effective against zombies, and even heavy weapons like tanks and armored vehicles. We can offer these in exchange."

Xu Zhengyang had no interest in tanks or armored vehicles. But when he heard that the New White City survivor camp had white phosphorus bombs, his eyes lit up! White phosphorus burns at temperatures between 800 to 2500 degrees Celsius, hot enough to melt through metal!

Moreover, the terrifying aspect of white phosphorus is its deep penetration. Once it comes into contact with human skin, it smolders within the body, burning through flesh down to the bone. If not extinguished and cleaned from the wound in time, the white phosphorus can reignite upon exposure to air when bandages are removed, making it a horrifying weapon. Because of this, white phosphorus bombs are dubbed "Hellfire" and are banned by international conventions.

However, while such weapons are inhumane, there's no need for humanity when dealing with zombies! If Xu Zhengyang had had white phosphorus bombs earlier, he wouldn't have suffered such heavy losses in dealing with the Blood Plague nest. A few white phosphorus bombs would have been enough to give the Blood Plague nest a hard time!

Although Xu Zhengyang was eager to get his hands on the white phosphorus bombs from the New White City survivor camp, he remained calm and composed, saying, "My T-800 combat robots have built-in intelligent modules that can execute simple commands like guarding, patrolling, and attacking. They are also highly accurate shooters, hitting targets with precision within 150 meters. Besides that, they can also..."

As Xu Zhengyang explained the capabilities of the T-800 combat robots to Zhou Zheng, he even brought one over to demonstrate. Only when he saw Zhou Zheng's eyes grow increasingly eager did he finally say, "If you want my T-800 combat robots, I can exchange them with you. But all I need in return are white phosphorus bombs."

Zhou Zheng immediately asked, "How many white phosphorus bombs would it take to exchange for one robot?"

Xu Zhengyang smiled and replied, "Since you're the ones seeking the exchange, I'll leave it to you to show your sincerity."

Zhou Zheng frowned at this. Negotiation wasn't his strong suit, so he said, "Then I'll go back and report this first. If we decide to proceed with the exchange, we'll send someone to the northern suburbs to discuss the details with you."

"Alright," Xu Zhengyang agreed.

*After Zhou Zheng and his team left, Xu Zhengyang finished cleaning up the battlefield thoroughly, then stored the T-800 combat robots in his Dimensional Space Pocket and left quietly.

Upon returning to the shelter, Da Bai, as per Xu Zhengyang's request, provided a plan to enhance the shelter's productivity.

Looking at the long list of equipment, Xu Zhengyang sighed, "With so many items... even with my Hurricane Light Multi-Function Mecha, it would take at least a week to gather everything!"

Just as Xu Zhengyang was about to start working according to the route recommended by Da Bai, Da Bai suddenly alerted him, "Master, master, a convoy from the New White City survivor camp has arrived! They're currently five kilometers away from the shelter and are sending a communication request. Should I accept it?"

Xu Zhengyang was surprised by the efficiency of the New White City survivor camp. In just an hour or two, they had already decided to proceed with the trade. Without hesitation, Xu Zhengyang said, "Accept!"
