Approaching a small, secluded cove, she saw Jace. He stood by the shoreline, waves lapping at his feet, his gaze fixed on the horizon.
There was an ease to his posture, a tranquillity that she hadn't seen in him for a long time.
She approached him slowly, her curiosity burning with every step she took.
"Jace," she began cautiously.
"Hmm?" He turned to his side where she approached form, his smile spilling into his eyes as he opened his arms, welcoming her in for a hug.
They shared a close hug, after which their lips met, kissing deeply and forgetting they were outside.
