Sai stared blankly at the massive hole in the top of his head.
"Yo~" Naruto squatted over him with a cheerful grin. "Long time no see!"
"You..." Sai looked at Naruto and his team in bewilderment.
Sakura approached, covering her face. "Are you an idiot? Why didn't Sasuke run away earlier?!"
"No, no," Naruto chuckled.
Yamato walked over, frowning as he observed Sai, who was no longer under the enemy's control. "It seems like he really has betrayed them."
"Nope," Naruto smirked. "Sharingan!"
In an instant, Sai fell into a genjutsu.
"Naruto-kun, you..." Sakura and Yamato stepped forward, surprised.
Sai staggered, looking at Naruto with complicated eyes, then said nothing.
"Let's go. Time to find Sasuke!" Naruto said with a grin.
"But he..." Sakura hesitated.
"Don't worry," Naruto glanced at Sai. "I think he's a good guy."
Without another word, Naruto strode toward the passage.
"Why are you so concerned about him?" Yamato asked curiously, watching Sai silently follow behind.
"It's nothing," Naruto smiled. "Believe in love. I used love to influence him."
Yamato, Sakura: "..."
"Found it!" Naruto suddenly stopped in front of a secret door labeled 340, and with a loud bang, kicked it open.
"Yo! Sasuke! Wake up!" Naruto shouted as he stepped into the room.
"You bastard, Naruto..." Sasuke growled, holding his head, which had been smacked by the door. Furious, he inhaled deeply and unleashed a massive Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu.
Boom!! The underground passage exploded again. Fiery light illuminated the darkness.
Everyone squinted up at Sasuke standing above them on the upper platform.
He wore a loose, open kimono, revealing his sharply defined eight-pack abs. A chokutō sword was slung across his back, a thick rope belt tied at his waist, and one hand rested coolly on his hip—like a rogue samurai.
If not for the bump on his forehead caused by Naruto's door-kick, he'd look badass.
"Bastard, you're still so damn annoying!" Sasuke growled, covering the bump on his forehead with one hand, glaring at Naruto with a mixture of irritation and resentment. "You're always so full of crap!"
The team below: "...You'd look cooler if you stopped clutching your forehead."
"Always... always!"
Sasuke suddenly yelled, voice trembling with fury, "You and Itachi always make me feel powerless! Again and again, the only thing I can rely on is power! Soon I'll kill Itachi! I've already surpassed you, Naruto—with power you can't even comprehend! Orochimaru helped me develop a technique based on the Sage of Six Paths' legacy!"
Naruto blinked. "...How should I put this? You really think you're hot stuff again, huh?"
In a blur, Sasuke appeared beside Naruto, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"So fast!" Sakura and Yamato were startled.
Sasuke leaned close and said coldly, "Didn't your dream used to be to become Hokage? If you have the time to chase after me, why not do more missions and build your reputation, Naruto?"
He slowly reached behind him for his sword. "So many times... If it weren't for Orochimaru's interests, I would've killed you long ago. Right, Naruto?"
"Yaaaawn~" Naruto suddenly yawned. "What were you saying? Sorry, I didn't sleep well last night, didn't catch that."
Sasuke's forehead vein twitched. "You bastard! You're as annoying as ever!"
He slashed down with his sword.
"That's dangerous!" Everyone was shocked.
But Naruto blocked it with one hand, sighing. "It's not like I wanted to come. Tsunade ordered me. As Hokage's man, shouldn't I help share the load? Besides, your big brother..."
He paused. "Anyway, you should just come back with me."
Furious, Sasuke pulled back and shouted, "I'm not the kid who lost to you back then!! Chidori Stream!"
Lightning surged across Sasuke's body.
"How about that!"
Suddenly, he looked around—Naruto had vanished.
"What?! When?!"
The others were equally shocked. "That's... Chidori flowing through his entire body?!"
Sasuke waved his hand, sending a barrage of shuriken at Naruto!
"Huh? I like this game!" Naruto laughed.
The two began a high-speed shuriken duel, countless blades clashing mid-air and clattering to the ground.
Suddenly, Sasuke appeared in front of Naruto, drawing his Kusanagi sword. "Die!!"
Boom!
"What?!" The blade was kicked away by Naruto's high kick, followed by a spinning roundhouse to Sasuke's side.
Sasuke quickly raised his left arm to shield his head, and with a loud impact, Naruto's kick blasted him backward.
But—swoosh! A second Sasuke emerged behind Naruto midair, sword glowing with lightning, swinging down with deadly intent.
"He released a Shadow Clone in an instant?!" Yamato exclaimed.
Naruto's Sharingan flared open, turning to meet the attack. "Leaf Great Whirlwind!"
Boom! The clone exploded into white mist.
Below, Sasuke hurled a giant Fūma Shuriken toward Naruto—crackling with electricity.
Naruto raised a brow. "That's a bit flashy."
His Sharingan spun again—the tomoe morphing into a yin-yang symbol. "Body Flicker Technique!"
In a flash, he appeared in front of Sasuke.
"Impossible! So fast!" Sasuke exclaimed—only to be kicked straight into the wall.
"Bastard!" Sasuke clutched his stomach. His other hand sparked with power. "Chidori!"
But before he could strike, Naruto was already in front of him again—this time, punching him square in the face.
Boom!
The impact sent Sasuke flying, crashing into the wall. Lightning exploded violently, cloaking the area in smoke.
"What happened?!" Sakura and the others peered anxiously into the cloud.
Boom! A second explosion rocked the chamber. Two figures emerged—Sasuke, panting heavily, cursed marks spreading across his body; Naruto, unharmed, not even a speck of dust on him.
"Damn it!" Sasuke cursed inwardly. The gap had only widened.
Naruto smiled calmly. "Come on, Sasuke. Come back to Konoha and experience the power of love. There's no future for you with Orochimaru."
Suddenly, Sasuke's shirt tore open, and two grotesque, muscular arms sprouted from his back.
"Damn!" Yamato, Sakura, and Sai recoiled. "What the hell is that?!"
The massive arms began to pulse with black lightning.
"Chidori! Mangekyō Shock Palm!" Sasuke roared.
The black lightning surged toward Naruto with a thunderous roar!
Naruto stomped, slamming his foot into the ground. "Earth Style: Earth-Style Rampart!"
Several thick earth walls rose between them.
The black lightning crashed into the walls, blowing through them like paper.
"Not good!" the spectators cried. "Lightning Style counters Earth Style!"
The thunder struck Naruto, engulfing him in a massive explosion!
"Naruto!" Sakura screamed.
Sasuke grinned smugly.
