After sending the chief away, Ray sat at the table, made a few plans, and then left his villa in the evening. He asked Lily to stay at home and take care of the house.
Within a few minutes, Ray reached the City Administrative office and informed the servant he was there to visit John.
The servant then asked Ray to sit in the office while he went to inform him about Ray's arrival and bring him back.
After Ray had sat in the office reception area for a few minutes, John came running back to the office after hearing about Ray's visit.
"Good evening, Sir. How come you're back again? Is there a problem with the document we gave you?" John asked in surprise.
"No, everything is fine with the documents, I'm here for another important matter." Ray hurriedly waved his hands and explained.
"Well, you see, I have decided to renovate the entire street which I have contracted after asking the previous tenants to move away after paying the compensation they required."
"They might not believe me if I say I will entirely pay the amount for them, so I'm here to ask if you can arrange and send someone from the office to support my men who are discussing the deal with the people in the outer city. This might make the process easier and help them believe us." Ray explained his reason for arrival to John.
"Is that it, sir, Yes I will arrange for my office worker to immediately go to the outer district and help you in the process," John promised.
"But, sir, I have a request. After renovating the street, we want the unemployed workers to get back to work under your management once the streets are rebuilt. We don't want to hear people from outside the city spreading rumors about city management favoring outsiders and taking away their jobs," John requested.
Ray considered for a moment and decided it wouldn't be an issue to rehire them since he could utilize the experienced labor in his shops.
"Yes, I agree with your suggestion, but I will only hire those with clean backgrounds and no black marks on their records," Ray said to John.
John happily shook Ray's hand and called a young office worker into the office and introduced him to Ray.
"This young man is Mike. He's been working in the office for about two years and knows all about the outer city. He'll help you by accompanying you back to the outer city and informing the people of your promise while asking for their cooperation. If anyone doesn't cooperate, he'll handle it by arresting them for obstructing official work," John said, introducing the man to Ray.
John explained the work details to Mike and asked him to assist Ray without causing any inconvenience.
Mike promised John he would complete the work without any hitch and then shook hands with Ray to introduce himself.
He then went back to the office and bought a carriage with an official City Administration mark on it.
He Parked it in front of the office and guided Ray to sit in the carriage.
The carriage was crafted from high-grade spirit wood and pulled by a horse with monster blood.
It had a red mane, sharp teeth, and an imposing, majestic body that looked incredible just standing there.
Mike then slowly instructed the horse to pull the carriage after seeing Ray seated comfortably inside.
The carriage slowly started moving and gradually picked up speed and within a few minutes they exited the inner city and reached the outer city.
Ray didn't feel any bumps or shaking of the carriage while it was moving and decided to buy one from them the next time he visited the city office.
Ray alighted the carriage when it stopped at a large restaurant and saw that many people had gathered there.
The chief was surrounded by a crowd of people, discussing the deal and explaining the details to them.
The group is split into two factions: one that is content with taking the money and leaving, and another that is stubbornly arguing with the chief for more benefits and better conditions.
As soon as the carriage bearing the city's official symbol stopped in front of the restaurant, the entire crowd fell silent. They watched as a young man in the city's official officer attire drove the carriage, and another young man in a grand dress stepped down from the back.
The chief, who had been arguing with the people, saw that it was Ray who had come down from the carriage. He cheerfully pushed through the crowd blocking the passage and approached Ray, starting a friendly conversation.
The crowd who witnessed it were stunned, and many who had been wavering were intimidated by the scene, deciding to conclude the contract and leave. Meanwhile, some people are still hoping for luck.
After Ray introduced the chief to Mike, the chief began explaining the situation to Ray and the young officer.
Mike understood the entire circumstances and requested Ray to let him deal with this issue.
After He got Ray's approval, Mike went forward and began talking with the people.
After several minutes of argument with the people, Mike somehow convinced them and came back with satisfaction.
"Sir, I have talked to them, and after mentioning that the city office has supported the operation and it would be better to take the offer according to the contract, many immediately agreed. Those who were trying to cause problems quickly abandoned their ideas after hearing the punishment for not complying with the order of city management," Mike informed Ray.
The chief, listening to the conversation, was shocked by the sudden change of events and thought the city office still had the same intimidating atmosphere as when they left the city five years ago.
Ray then thanked Mike for helping and asked him for further help by staying with with while they distribute the money and conclude the contracts.
Which Mike Obliged and silently stayed beside Ray while watching the old man distributing the money according to the contracts which were drawn at the beginning when they have rented the shops.
