Chapter 60 - The Unyielding Pray

The impact sent Lizarius hurtling through the sky, crashing down through the forest canopy. Trees shattered around him as he smashed through branch after branch, finally slamming into the ground with an earth-shaking force. Dust and debris erupted into the air, forming a thick cloud over the crash site.

The tiger landed moments later, silent and imposing. Its piercing eyes locked onto the wreckage, watching—waiting.

From within the swirling dust, two golden lights flared.

A shadow loomed—massive wings spread wide. With a single, mighty beat of his wings, Lizarius unleashed a violent gust of wind. The dust cloud was blown away in a roaring vortex, revealing the lizard standing tall among the wreckage of trees and shattered rock.

He looked untouched. No blood. No wounds. Only faint scratches marked the surface of his white scales.

"It's still alive after my soul attack?" Lizarius.

> System Response:

"Affirmative. The target's soul is too strong. A single soul attack is insufficient to kill it. It has only been damaged. To finish it, the host must strike again—or evolve the Golden Eye Owl Gene."

Lizarius's eyes narrowed. His mind raced.

I can't strike its soul if it avoids eye contact.

He glanced at the tiger, now growling with rising fury, teeth bared and muscles tensed.

If I can't kill it with a soul attack...

The growl deepened.

...then will just kill it the usual way.

In a blink, the tiger moved—launching forward with terrifying speed.

Lizarius glowing yellow eyes burned with primal fury.

By tearing it apart.

As the tiger raced towards him, he raised his clawed paw and slammed it down.

The earth responded with a violent rumble. Stone spikes erupted from the soil like jagged spears, rising in a deadly wave toward the tiger
