Chapter 318 - Live streaming of goods- II [628]

A beautiful flower field stretched behind them, where a Butterfree and Combee fluttered between blossoms, collecting nectar. Beyond that, the camera caught a glimpse of open green pastures, where a few Eeveelutions were lazily basking in the warm afternoon sun.

[Is this… countryside paradise? I'm so jealous! It looks so peaceful.]

[Jealous +1. You can't see anything like this in the city. I want to leave everything and move to the countryside now!]

Iono laughed. "Envious, huh? I used to feel the same way! If you get the chance, you should absolutely visit the countryside and experience it for yourself. But fair warning, life out here moves very slowly!"

Naoki gave her a smile, his gaze soft.

Then a teasing message floated across the screen.

[Wait a sec. No gym battles? No challengers today? You're not livestreaming just to show off your married life, are you?]

Iono gasped in mock offense, then grinned. "Of course not! We actually have something very important to share with everyone today."

That piqued the audience's interest instantly.

A flood of messages appeared asking what the announcement was.

Iono held up a plump, glossy fruit. "Ta-da! This right here is what I wanted to show you!"

A wave of question marks flooded the screen.

[???]

[That just looks like an ordinary berry. Anyone know what it is?]

[I've never seen this before. No reference in the berry databases either. I'm a certified Pokémon Breeder, and I'm telling you, this is something entirely new.]

"Don't recognize it?" Iono said playfully. "That's not surprising! This is a very special fruit, cultivated right here at Tree House Ranch by Naoki himself. After eating it, people with poor eyesight, even those who are legally blind, can regain clear vision!"

She raised the fruit higher for the camera.

"Not just humans, either," she added. "It works for Pokémon too! Whether you're nearsighted or completely blind, this fruit can help restore your sight."

Naoki passed her another, this one a glowing, golden-orange color.

As expected, the livestream chat blew up.

[Wait WHAT?!]

[Are you serious right now? A fruit that cures blindness??]

[That sounds way too good to be true. Is this real?]

Naoki smiled reassuringly. "I know it sounds incredible, but it's real. We'll be putting these fruits on sale at our ranch shop later today. If you or your Pokémon need them, you're welcome to order."

[Okay okay — HOW MUCH??] someone wrote in all caps.

"They're affordable," Naoki replied. "The Bright-Eye Fruit, which improves vision and concentration, is 5,000 Pokédollars. The True Sight Fruit, which can restore sight completely, is 6,000 Pokédollars."

[Whoa. That's honestly cheap if it really works.]

[If that's true, people are going to line up around the block!]

[This is what I call a miracle item. I'll send one to my grandpa right now!]

"In truth," Naoki said, "for people who don't have eye conditions like nearsightedness or blindness, these fruits won't have any effect. They're specifically for those with vision impairments."

He opened the merchant panel on the shopping app, listed both the Bright-Eye Fruit and the True Sight Fruit, and set a purchase limit of fifty units each.

There wasn't much else he could do, Mew and Teddiursa had only brought back a small number of seeds. They couldn't be mass-cultivated yet.

Even with the infinite regrowth properties of the Reverse World, the fruits still needed time to ripen.

"All right, that's it for today's stream!" Iono waved at the camera with a cheerful grin.

[Already?! That was so fast!]

Some viewers didn't even have time to react before the livestream ended.

Within minutes, curious fans had flocked to the shopping app. Sure enough, under the new products listed in a shop called Tree's House, they saw two unfamiliar names: Bright-Eye Fruit and True Sight Fruit.

In a two-story home tucked away in Littleroot Town, Hoenn.

A bespectacled man squinted at his Rotom Phone, reading the product description aloud.

"Bright-Eye Fruit... cures myopia? Can that really be true?"

His name was Aizen, and ever since the Rotom Phone launched, he'd been hooked, scrolling during meals, tapping away on commutes, even checking messages in the bathroom.

It wasn't long before his vision began to deteriorate. He became nearsighted and now couldn't go anywhere without his thick glasses.

But for just 5,000 Pokédollars? If the fruit really worked, it would be worth every bit.

Driven by curiosity, Aizen placed an order.

Roughly two hours later, a Dragonite descended gracefully in front of his home.

Even though the product description had mentioned that Pokémon couriers like Dragonite would deliver the items, Aizen still stood frozen in awe.

"Amazing… it's really a Dragonite!"

The round body, big eyes, and flapping wings made it look more like a gentle giant than a fearsome Legendary.

After handing off the parcel with practiced efficiency, Dragonite gave a polite nod and lifted off into the sky without a word.

Aizen snapped back to reality.

He hurried back inside, unwrapped the package, and immediately ate the fruit in small, careful bites.

But the moment he swallowed the last piece, he felt a strange tingling sensation behind his eyes.

He instinctively reached up, took off his glasses, and rubbed his eyes.

When he opened them again, everything in front of him was crystal clear.

For a second, Aizen didn't understand what had happened. His hands fumbled for his glasses out of habit, but before he could put them on, realization struck.

"…No way. It worked?!"

Overwhelmed with disbelief, Aizen sprinted to his room, grabbed his Rotom Phone, and opened the fan forums to share what he'd just experienced.

But to his surprise, the site was already buzzing with posts and testimonials.

People were flooding the forums with stories about how their vision had been restored. Some shared how they were finally able to read books again without glasses. A few even claimed they'd been blind, and now they could see the world for the first time.

Pokémon, too, had their share of stories. One Luxray was filmed crying after being able to see its trainer's face clearly again.

Aizen blinked, stunned.

He quickly tapped into the Tree's House storefront, only to see that both fruits were completely sold out.

"…Already?! It's only been three hours!"

He slumped in his chair, then smiled in relief.

"Good thing I bought mine early…"

It was now around noon. Back at the ranch, Naoki was busy in the kitchen preparing lunch with the help of sister Indeedee.

There was steamed sea bass for Dragonite, juicy fried steak for the cyclizar and Koraidon, and soft pudding for the sweet-toothed Alcremie.

From the other room, Iono's voice called out, "All the fruits are gone! People are already begging us to restock!"

Naoki remained calm as ever. "Just tell them fruits take time to grow."

He was more than used to this kind of demand.

Iono pouted. "I wanted something sweet too…"

Naoki smiled and opened a fresh jar of golden, floral-scented honey, brewed just that morning by the Combees.

The golden liquid shimmered in the sunlight, perfectly translucent. Its scent carried the delicate fragrance of wildflowers, intertwined with a rich sweetness that seemed to lift one's spirits with a single breath.

[Sweet Sweet]: Honey brewed by Combee. The nectar is collected from flowers nurtured with natural energy by Gogoat. The result is an exceptionally high-grade honey, considered a rare delicacy that's nearly impossible to find on the market.

Naoki was quietly impressed. The quality of this honey had improved dramatically, it had clearly benefited from the natural cultivation methods of their Pokémon.

Meanwhile, out at sea between the Paldea and Galar regions, a sleek cruise ship cut across the waves, bound for a port in Paldea.

On the sunlit deck, Leon stood beside Sonia. Both of them were gazing toward the horizon.

For some time now, they had been researching the legends of Eternatus and the Heroes of Galar—the Sword and Shield Kings. And recently, a few key discoveries have finally shed new light on their ancient mystery.

Leon had wanted to visit Naoki's ranch to consult with him and the Calyrex about these topics much earlier… but it had been right around the time of Naoki and Iono's wedding, and crashing someone's special day wasn't exactly his style.

So he'd waited until now.

With a break in his schedule and new findings in hand, Leon was finally making the trip.

He adjusted his cape in the ocean breeze and turned to Sonia, a familiar grin stretching across his face.

"We're almost there."
