Sophie Parker listened, a clear disdain on her face, the corners of her mouth slightly raised with a hint of a mocking smile,
"Emily Parker, stop pretending there.
Adam Willow, even Mr. Willow's assistant, doesn't understand French; do you, a college graduate, understand French?"
She placed her crossed hands on the table, her gaze provocatively fixed on Emily Parker.
Faced with Sophie's questioning, Emily smiled slightly and said calmly,
"Sophie, if you don't believe me, why not send another email to Dr. Sterling and schedule a time with him?"
Sophie quickly swiped her fingers across the screen and sent another email.
Soon, an automatic reply came back.
Sophie's expression instantly turned sour, her eyes widened, staring hard at the projection. Although she couldn't recognize French, seeing the identical reply made her somewhat uneasy.
The people in the meeting room began to discuss, some whispering to each other.
