If there was one strength that Damien had, a strength that allowed him to make up for his lack of experience, it was how extremely perceptive and attentive he was. Especially when it came to Lane. He could always pick up on the man's minute reactions, which helped him understand his emotions, or realize when Lane wasn't completely honest (to put it nicely)…
And in bed as well. Just from the way Lane gasped, or from the trembling of his abdomen, or how he shifted his hips, Damien could tell what brought Lane the most pleasure, and what was less effective, and adjust his actions accordingly.
