Michael appreciated their concerns. One of them was even willing to sacrifice themselves just so that he could delay his permit test, which was very touching.
"It's okay. I chose to start my permit test tomorrow," he told them.
They all looked at him as if he was crazy. No one in their right minds would start their permit test during the Upperwood festival.
But it seemed that Michael was set on his ways and there was nothing they could do to convince him otherwise.
"It's fine," the old balding man said. "He's just a kid. There's plenty of chances for him in the future."
The others agreed.
"It might actually be a good experience for him. He can learn from this mistake."
