While the front gate was reserved for the two Tibetan Mastiff puppies.
The names of the Tibetan Mastiff puppies had also been chosen: one, with an iron-gold coat like its mother's, was named Black Gold. The other, with reddish-brown fur, was named Red Lion.
Red Lion was slightly larger in size, a female, but with an extremely domineering personality. Her brother Black Gold was often pressed down and beaten by her.
Uncle Tashi was very fond of Red Lion, and had mentioned to Chen Ying several times that when Red Lion grew up, he was undoubtedly going to pair her with an excellent male Mastiff and he wanted to pick one of the resulting cubs.
Chen Ying certainly had no objections, especially since the care of these two Mastiffs still relied on Uncle Tashi's help.
After frolicking with Jinya for a while, upon seeing Chen Ying emerge, Red Lion scrambled over to him, hugging his leg for affection.
"I've never seen any other Tibetan Mastiff that loves to be coddled like you."
