"Mother…?" Diana's voice was weak and filled with confusion.
She blinked a few times, then reality settled in.
"I… I remember now…"
"You were struck by the Omega Beams from the Mother Box," Queen Hippolyta said, her voice filled with sorrow. "You're lucky to have survived."
Diana's face darkened as her memories returned.
That red beam… so that was the Omega Beam.
She instinctively tried to push herself up—only to realize her wrists were completely wrapped in bandages.
The bandages covered what remained of her hands.
A flicker of shock crossed her face.
Then, the realization struck—
Her hands had been completely obliterated.
Seeing Diana's expression shift, Hippolyta's eyes welled with tears.
"My poor child!" she choked. "I will do everything in my power to find a way to restore you!"
But Diana shook her head.
"The Mother Box is the priority, not my hands," she said, her tone unwavering.
She looked down at her injuries, then sighed.
"If my hands are truly gone, so be it."
"I recall that Paradise Island has a pair of Silver Arms that I can use. As long as I'm still breathing, this battle is far from over!"
Her words carried a warrior's conviction.
Even among the Justice League, Diana was known for her unshakable will.
Everyone in the room felt a sense of admiration.
Shin, however, wasn't ready to give up.
He studied Diana's severed wrists carefully.
"Are her original hands… still intact?" he asked.
Diana's eyes widened slightly.
She suddenly remembered—
Back when they fought Doomsday, it was Shin who had restored her after she was cut in half.
She turned toward her mother, hope flickering in her eyes.
Hippolyta, however, shook her head.
"The Omega Ray didn't sever them—it obliterated them."
Her voice trembled slightly.
"Only a few of her fingers remained."
"And… even half of the protective silver bracelet evaporated."
She took out two tiny fragments, the only remnants of what once adorned Diana's wrists.
Shin frowned.
"Without the original hands, reattaching them will be… difficult."
Diana sighed.
"Forget it," she said, forcing a smile. "At least I survived. That's enough for now."
But Shin wasn't convinced.
There were ways to restore missing limbs—if he could find the right tools.
Deep in thought, Shin considered his options.
He did possess a Devil Fruit with regenerative abilities—
The Healing Fruit is a miraculous power owned by the Tontatta Princess in the pirate world.
But there was a problem.
Regenerating a lost limb required immense physical energy.
For a normal person, it was already draining.
For someone with a body as powerful as Diana's, the energy cost would be astronomical.
Even Shin, with all his enhancements, would lose half his life force trying to restore her.
If he used the Munch-Munch Fruit to give Diana a temporary pair of arms, they would be far too weak.
Diana's physical strength was in another league.
A normal human arm couldn't withstand her power—it would shatter like fragile glass.
He needed something stronger.
Then it hit him.
The Mythical Zoan Phoenix Fruit.
A Devil Fruit capable of true regeneration, able to restore lost limbs without the same energy cost.
And there was only one person who possessed it.
Marco the Phoenix.
Shin nodded to himself.
"Don't make any rash decisions just yet," he said to Diana. "And don't settle for those Silver Arms. I may have another way."
At his words, Hippolyta turned to him with hope in her eyes.
"If you can truly heal Diana…"
"You may choose anything from Paradise Island's treasures as a reward."
Shin smiled slightly.
"The treasury of the Amazons sounds impressive," he said. "But I don't think there's much left that's useful to me."
Still, a reward was a reward.
Even so, he was already determined to help Diana.
He didn't need any payment.
"It's difficult to heal her through normal methods," Shin explained.
"While I could attach new arms, the issue is finding a suitable material that can match her strength."
"Only a rare treasure can truly restore her."
And the Phoenix Fruit was the best option.
Shin made his decision.
He had to return to the pirate world and borrow Marco's power.
Thankfully, Marco was an ally.
As one of Whitebeard's commanders, Marco had a kind and loyal nature.
Convincing him wouldn't be difficult.
However—
Time was critical.
The longer Shin was gone, the worse things could get in the DC world.
Unlike his base worlds, Shin couldn't control time here.
If he stayed in the pirate world for too long, he might return to find Earth already lost.
Apokolips won't wait for anyone.
He activated his time-travel ability.
Shin quickly arrived in the pirate world, using the Flying Thunder God technique to reach Marco's location.
As expected, Marco agreed without hesitation.
"Anything for family," Marco said with a smile, handing over the Phoenix Fruit, but not before dragging Shin into a seven-hour-long banquet.
Some things never changed.
By the time Shin returned to the DC universe, Paradise Island had already fallen into the dead of night.
Yet—
The entire group was still waiting for him.
