Chu Yao finally adapted to the intense light in front of him. He initially thought it was coming from a high-power light bulb, but as his eyes gradually cleared, he realized it was actually a mass of firelight.
He stared at the firelight before him, beneath which was a person's palm. The heat emanating from the fire had already singed all the fine hair on his face. Chu Yao felt that his hair was beginning to scorch as well, because he could smell something.
"How can there be such a hot fire?"
Fear appeared on Chu Yao's face. His skin felt extremely dry, as if all the moisture had been evaporated. If the roasting continued, the skin on his face would surely be cooked.
"So hot! Put out this damned fire!" Chu Yao shouted loudly.
The firelight suddenly disappeared, and Chu Yao felt quite unaccustomed to it. It took a while before he was able to open his eyes again and see a young man with a smile on his face.
