Nova's eyes narrowed dangerously as the Eye of Appraisal's readout lingered in his vision. Kilgrave.

In his past life — before the Omnitrix, before the Wish ability, before any of this multiversal chaos — Nova had been an avid watcher of everything Marvel. He'd seen Jessica Jones, heard about the purple-suited bastard who'd reduced one of the strongest-willed heroines in Marvel's street-level roster into a traumatized puppet. A man whose mere words bent people like wet paper, a predator in a predator's city.

And behind him… Jessica Jones. The fierce, no-nonsense PI with fists that could pulverize steel beams, now standing still with a blank expression, betraying none of the fire Nova knew should have been in those sharp blue eyes.

He knew Kilgrave was dangerous — not in the world-ending, god-tier cosmic scale sense, but a monster in human skin. In his world, the Netflix version was bad enough. Here, though… Nova didn't know if this Kilgrave had other enhancements, a benefactor, or worse, a multiversal variant with new tricks.

Nova's mind raced, cataloging what he remembered.

Kilgrave's powers were pheromone-based. Airborne. Anyone within a certain radius inhaled them, and a verbal command would turn them into puppets. The horror wasn't the loss of action — it was the awareness. Victims knew what they were doing but were powerless to stop it. A cruel, insidious kind of control. The only known resistances were protective suits, blocking the pheromones, or certain mental barriers — tech or magical.

In the show, Jessica had resisted because of prolonged trauma and sheer will. But even then, it had taken years of damage to build that immunity. But she only have been mind controlled for 3 days, which is little good as she won't be much traumatized.

He cast a glance at Gwen and MJ, who seemed tense, clearly sensing danger on instinct if not by exact awareness. They hadn't been affected yet — probably because of the distance, or perhaps some side-benefit of their altered physiology through the Spider-totem link.

But that wouldn't last.

Damn it… If I remember right, he loved using Jessica as his attack dog. Loved flaunting his control over her. If this bastard gives the word, she'll turn on us — and at her power level, she might be able to do some serious damage if we're not careful. Gwen and MJ are both mid level 2nd rank hero's. They both can easily defeat Jessica together but real danger is Kilgrave. His ability could easily mind control Gwen and MJ, which is something I don't want...Kilgrave will die today...

"Gwen, MJ — be ready," Nova said quietly, his voice sharp, carrying a gravity neither had heard from him before. Both women tensed, their spider-senses humming, even if they didn't fully grasp the threat yet. The street around them felt like it was holding its breath.

Kilgrave's smug expression twisted into irritation. "Oh, what's this now? The little group's getting nervous." He gestured lazily, "Jessica, darling, would you mind—"

He didn't get to finish.

With a decisive look, Nova mentally commanded his Omnitrix, using Master control.

A burst of green energy exploded around Nova, blinding and bright, the shriek of transforming bone and sinew sharp in the air. In less than a second, where Nova stood now crouched a stocky, broad-shouldered figure. Shell-like plates overlapped across his body, his limbs muscular and clawed, a face resembling a monstrous turtle's — TETRASPIN. The thick plates gleamed faintly in the streetlights, and the moment he emerged, the humid, heavy stench in the air shifted.

Tetraspin's gnarled mouth curled in a sneer. Time to clean house.

With a deep, thunderous inhale, Tetraspin spun rapidly in place — a living whirlwind of speed and raw centrifugal force. A tornado-like gust exploded outward, howling through the street. Dust, trash, and debris scattered violently, but more importantly — the invisible cloud of Kilgrave's airborne pheromones was shredded, ripped apart and blown down the alley like mist before a hurricane.

Kilgrave's eyes went wide, fury flaring across his face. "What the—?! What are you?! A turtle?!"

Tetraspin's laugh was a low, guttural growl. "I'm the thing that's about to ruin your day, jackass."

Kilgrave's face contorted, and in frustration, he pointed at Nova. "Jessica — kill him!"

Jessica's eyes sharpened slightly, body moving even before she fully processed the order. Superhuman reflexes kicked in, and she lunged forward, muscles coiling to deliver a blow that could fold a car in half.

Tetraspin didn't flinch.

"Gwen! MJ! Intercept her!" Nova barked. "Suppress — don't injure! She's mind-controlled!"

Both women reacted instantly, instincts honed by battle and the unspoken trust in Nova's orders. Both frowned at the mind controlled term. But seeing Jessica charging towards them, they held thier doubts and confusion.

Ghost-Spider shot a webline, snagging Jessica's wrist mid-swing, while Spider-Lady vaulted forward, catching the other arm, both bracing against the brute force driving through the enhanced woman's limbs.

"Miss — you don't want to do this!" Gwen grunted, straining against the strength behind Jessica's movements. Even dulled, her power was frightening.

"She's strong," MJ hissed, her own arms trembling as she fought to restrain without causing harm. "And she's not even holding back!"

Tetraspin watched them for a split second, satisfaction mingling with cold anger. Good. They can handle her. I need to take out the source.

Kilgrave was backing up now, clearly unnerved. The smirk had cracked, and genuine confusion flickered in his eyes as he looked from the restrained Jessica to the monstrous alien before him.

"You… you shouldn't be able to… No one resists me!" he snarled, anger giving way to petulance.

Tetraspin cracked his knuckles. "Get comfortable with disappointment."

In the background, Ghost-Spider had managed to flip Jessica into a hold, MJ pinning her legs, both women working in perfect tandem and easily suppressing Jessica.

Meanwhile, with another flash of green light— another burst of emerald energy cascaded around Tetraspin's hulking form. Plates folded inward, limbs compressed, and the air shimmered with heat as a new figure rose from the glow — Heatblast. Flames ignited across his body, licking up from his shoulders and fingertips, eyes twin embers in a face of molten rock. The very ground beneath his feet cracked from the rising temperature.

Kilgrave's face blanched.

"W-wait—!" he stammered, desperation cracking through his arrogance. "You don't have to—"

But Nova was done listening.

He raised a hand, and an orb of searing plasma swirled to life in his palm, its glow turning night to dawn. The pheromone-reeking air around Kilgrave shimmered, the scent of ozone cutting through the stench.

"You made one mistake, Kilgrave," Heatblast growled, voice like an inferno. "You threatened my people."

And then, without fanfare, he unleashed it.

A column of fire roared forth, engulfing Kilgrave in an instant. The mutated human's scream barely escaped before it was drowned by the furnace-like torrent. Flesh blistered, cloth vaporized, and bones blackened in the span of heartbeats. There was no mercy. No hesitation. Just cleansing, righteous annihilation.

Within seconds, nothing but scorched ash remained.

The alley glowed with lingering heat, bits of charred stone and metal warping from the intensity. The oppressive, cloying aura that had clung to the street dissipated like a bad memory.

Nova — Heatblast — stood amidst the aftermath, letting the fires die from his hands, his breathing steady. Gwen and MJ had subdued Jessica fully by then, webs binding her carefully, though neither had taken their eyes off the spectacle.

The silence that followed was absolute.

Then Gwen muttered, a little shaken but sure, "Well… guess we're skipping trial and going straight to cremation."

MJ exhaled, releasing Jessica's legs gently. "No complaints here."

Jessica, now dazed as Kilgrave's control broke with his death, slumped in their grip, blinking rapidly as her senses returned. She stared at the scorch mark where her tormentor had stood — and then at the alien-shaped savior before her.

"…Who the hell are you?" she rasped.

Nova let the flames around his body recede as he triggered the Omnitrix's revert function. Another green glow, and he stood there as himself again, eyes cold and sharp.

"Name's Nova," he said quietly. "And I don't tolerate monsters."

No one spoke for a long moment.

Then Gwen grinned faintly. "You know, for a turtle-fire monster-alien thing… that was hot."

MJ smirked. "Literally."

Nova allowed a half-smile. "Let's get off this street before someone calls S.H.I.E.L.D."

And with that, they vanished into the night — leaving behind nothing but ash and the memory of a predator turned to cinders.
