Chapter 34 - Chapter 28

February 6

I got ready to hang out with Chaeyeon. I wore a deep boat-neck, long-sleeve, tight crop top in blue with three buttons over a halter-neck white crop top, paired with a short acid-washed denim skirt. I completed the look with an Elitéra versatile texture belt, white Prada knee-high boots, a Prada Cleo brushed-leather shoulder bag in silver, Prada shades, and matching Pandora accessories.

I went downstairs, calling out, "Oppa, I'm going out," but no one responded. I looked up after tidying my bag only to see Ivan's two clueless friends. Honestly, with their IQ, it's a miracle they got into Harvard.

"Oh my goodness, Ivan!! How could you hide the fact that you have a girlfriend? I thought you weren't interested in girls," Sean practically screamed, making me furrow my brows in confusion.

"And you're living together?" Zack added fuel to the fire just as Ivan walked in, laptop in hand, clearly annoyed by them.

"Why are you even screaming?" Ivan asked, completely exasperated.

"Wait, wait, wait. You... I know you," Sean said, pointing at me, trying to remember my name. Ivan ignored them and turned to me.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"I have an appointment with Chaeyeon," I replied.

"Alright. Be back before curfew," Ivan instructed. I nodded, shot a glance at the two idiots, and walked out. But before leaving, I turned back to them with a smile.

"Oh, and by the way, I'm not Ivan's girlfriend. I'm his ugly little sister," I said with a French accent, giving them a wink before heading out. I hopped into my Bugatti, tossing my coat and bag onto the passenger seat. My first stop was Starbucks to grab a drink, and then I drove off, playing some music. I pick Chaeyeon up from her apartment in Providence, Rhode Island. We spend time in an Indoor Gun Range and then at Newport Art Museum and eating out, and spending time in a cafe. A few fans spotted us, and some of them asked for photos and autographs, which we patiently fulfilled their desires.

After spending the day with Chaeyeon, I returned home to find the two fools still there, working on something. They paused their work when they saw me.

"Sorry, lil sis," they both said in unison. I replied sarcastically with a smirk, "Thank you," before heading to my room. After freshening up and changing into comfy clothes, I sat at my study table, scrolling through my phone while munching on fresh fruit slices brought by the nanny.

I was nearly shocked when I saw the university's web page. Despite Ivan clarifying that we're siblings, people were commenting that I don't deserve to be his sister. I was furious; it took some time for me to get angry.

"Bro!" I shouted, and soon Ivan came running, almost panting, with his two friends trailing behind, completely out of breath.

"W-what gay?" Sean gasped, trying to catch his breath. I realized I had called Ivan "bro" in Mandarin. I love calling him that; it's short and sweet. But this time, it slipped out unintentionally.

"What happened?" Ivan asked.

"Look at this! They're saying I don't deserve to be your sister. What do they even mean? You're lucky to have me as your sister!" I pouted, putting down the tablet and crossing my arms, sitting angrily in the chair.

Ivan took the tablet, brows furrowed, and soon Sean and Zack were peeking over his shoulder.

"Those comments are so mean," Zack said, coming towards me. "Don't listen to them. You're way prettier than Ivan," he added, attempting to pat my hair.

"Yah, yah, yah, yah!" I exclaimed, swatting his hand away. I don't like anyone except close friends and family touching my hair. Zack awkwardly retracted his hand. "Thanks for the comfort," I muttered.

"I'll handle it," Ivan said, shooting a glance at his friends to follow him. They left the room quietly.

Once they were gone, I noticed Isuki waiting outside my door.

"Why didn't you come in?" I asked. He walked in, dressed casually in a black t-shirt and cargo pants, a change from his usual formal suit.

"Didn't think it was necessary," he replied, sitting on the footboard bench.

"What if I were in danger? Wait till I tell Aaron and Hyunwoo," I teased, pretending to be upset.

"How could you be in danger inside the house? I was just outside," he defended. I rolled my eyes.

"From tomorrow, you're coming to university with me. Ask Ivan's assistant to get you a special access pass," I instructed. Isuki gave me a questioning look. "I'm going to start wearing makeup," I said, flicking my chin with the back of my hand, "dressing up," I added with a dramatic squint, "and dolling myself up," I finished, twirling a strand of hair. Isuki looked at me like he'd witnessed something bizarre.

With a shake of his head, he left the room. I chuckled, then headed downstairs for dinner. Afterward, I sketched some outfit ideas and did my night routine before going to bed.

I started my day by wearing a fitted, asymmetrical red top that highlighted my shoulders, paired with wide-legged black trousers with dramatic flair. Gold minimal accessories, dark sunglasses, Louboutin heels, and a Chanel petite timeless tote completed my look.

I had breakfast and then headed to university with Isuki. Upon arrival, everyone seemed curious; some thought I was a new student, others assumed I was a rich relative, and a few were convinced I was there for some other reason.

When I took off my sunglasses and entered the lecture hall, people recognized me and swarmed me with questions. I answered patiently, but luckily, the lecturer arrived soon after.

Post-lecture, another group surrounded me, asking for autographs. I obliged, but seeing the time, I told them I had an appointment and would sign more autographs next time. I even joked, "I'm not leaving this amazing university or my wonderful batch mates. I'll be around for all my lectures, so relax."

I made my way to the library for an appointment with Zack. When I sat down, he looked up from his book.

"Excuse me, Miss, this seat is taken," he said without another look.

"Are you serious, Zack?" I replied, giving him a look. He stared back for a moment before shaking his head and cleaning his glasses.

"Wait...did you put on makeup?" He reached out to pinch my cheek, but I swatted his hand away.

"I did, but only to cover my fake freckles, " I smirked.

"Can you two keep it down? Others are trying to concentrate," the librarian scolded us. We apologized and decided to move outside. Zack grabbed his stuff and followed me as I explained everything to him.

Later, Lucas video-called me. He's always partying, but this time he seemed genuinely surprised to see me dressed up. He insisted on meeting tomorrow.

I finished my homework, did my night routine, and went to bed.

I got ready in a light pink half-sleeve fitted shift dress paired with Miu Miu thigh-high boots and a Hermès Kelly mini Chèvre Mysore Rose Sakura, along with a Cartier watch.

After breakfast, the day went by quickly. I fast-forwarded to my date with Lucas, our first since I agreed to be his girlfriend. We arranged to meet at the café area of Hotel Elite. I waited for him for about 15 minutes, and when he finally showed up, he tried to kiss me, but Isuki intervened. I was relieved yet uncomfortable. Before Lucas could get irritated, I quickly apologized and asked Isuki to sit at the next table.

Lucas tried to hold my hand. I didn't want to, but I couldn't pull away, so I let him. He stroked my hand with his thumb, and I had to mentally remind myself, 'You're an actress, Yeim-Woon. Stay calm. You've got this.'

He wanted to take me to a club afterwards, but I declined. He was annoyed but still kissed my cheek before leaving. After he was gone, I had Isuki settle the bill. Lucas had suggested splitting it, but I insisted on paying the whole thing.

I returned home, completed my night routine, and went straight to sleep.
