"What exactly are you unsure about?" She asked gently. Then she added, "You do realize this was bound to happen when you and Roman were being intimate without protection?"
My ears burned red as I nudged her side, embarrassed.
"Listen, Carol, there's nothing to be ashamed of. You're a married woman, and it's natural. Now that it's happening, you need to embrace this bundle of joy. Being a mom is one of the best things that can happen to you, so don't let uncertainty take away from that joy," she said firmly. I nodded as I absorbed her words.
"Exactly," she encouraged with a smile.
"But what about Roman?" I couldn't help but ask.
"What do you mean, 'what about him'?" she shot back, narrowing her eyes at me.
"I have no idea how he will react. Will he be shocked? Annoyed? We haven't even talked about having a baby; what do you think he'll say?" I expressed my worries.
